72 Wiper switch removal

I'm trying to remove the wiper switch from my dash. I am wondering if the entire lever comes out or just the flat slide off of the end? I am pulling and it doesn't seem to release.

I believe you need a tiny allen wrench to remove the piece that says "washer". Look under neath it.

Then the switch is retained by a screw or two from behind the dash.

Allen set screw holds on the tab that you grab. It goes in from the side next to the column. Loosen set screw, pull off tab.
Now the switch is removed from the back, three screws.
