1970-72 Pulse wiper option. Column shifter with wiper button

Got these in a parts deal from a hoarder. Neither is perfect or real nice but when was the last time you even saw one? Like to get $60.00 each for the two shifters on top.
This was an option in '70 & maybe '71-'72? When you pressed the button in the end of the shift lever the wipers would sweep 3 times I believe. Only for column shift cars.

Picture added.

my 70 98 ls had one of those.if you push on the button lightly it would wipe once,if you pushed it all the way in it would run the squirters and wipe thru a cycle.loved that thing.i saved the column out of it but have no idea what ever happened to it.

Scott, last year for that was 71. I believe it was a 2 year option for 70/71. They're not that common so it should go quick.

Nice find Scott! If someone wants to keep the bench seat this is a nice option to have. Here's an old thread when I came across a car with this option. John

I wonder what else it would need to make it work. It would be incorrect on a 67, and probably not work with it anyways.

The wiper motor was different. I think I have one but it shorted out & part of the internals melted.

well on this one the harness is cut.if i remember correctly when i took my column out that it tapped into the harness on the back of the wiper switch basically had a connector that hooked to the switch then the harness to wipers plugged into it.

No problem packrat, I won't try on this one.

Whenever Cherokee posts, I get some old song lyrics going through my head.

-So proud to live.....so proud to DIIIIIIIIIIIE.....

A lot of great rare and normally unseen options showing up lately. Good to see that they are still available and not just rusting away or deteriorating in a junk yard or back lot somewhere.

Hi Oldspackrat. Do you happen to have a deluxe steering wheel for a 1968 Olds 442? Tru-blu 442 sent me in your direction.

Thanks,
Paul
