How many ground straps?

I'm finishing up the wiring in my 68 442 and have installed the ground strap from the back of the head to the firewall. I have however, in my box o' parts another ground strap. It's about half the width of the 1st strap and approximately 18 inches long.

There's a distinct possibility this doesn't belong to this car, but to a previous restoration. I'd rather be safe than sorry and ask. Any feedback?

On some models there was one for the cruise control unit.

On the '67 W-30 cars with the K-66 option there was a strap for that as well.

My 1968 442 has only the one grounding strap you described.

Thanks for the reply. I have a feeling this is a leftover from my 66 Corvette coupe resto. How it got mixed in with the 442 stuff is a mystery..

You're probably right.

The Olds firewall and cruise control ground straps are 10.5" long and are the identical part number as a Corvette ignition shield strap.
