Parts
I get some of my bearings at Carquest, or I go to an industrial bearing supplier as another source...take your old bearing with you, and the seal too...there are numbers on there that can be cross referenced...

unfortunately someone replaced bearings with china onesnot sure if they didnt get on all the way or what but bearing keeper rubbed on seal and wrecked it.found jd race and restoration on this site they showed bearing and seal #s on their site.hopefully this will work.

found the problem the person that put the new bearings in put seal in backwards the spring was towards axle.got her all back together just got back from a spin worked great.this sure is a fun car to drive handles great for a old girl.roads in my area are pretty curvy.now to get the gas gauge working.one step at a time to get her back to tip top shape.
thanks again for all the help.

fill amount
usually 2.5 quarts will do it. But less buy 8oz. if you are using limited slip additive. The fill plug on the passenger side of the center section diff housing casting is also the fill site ...Once the fluid starts to roll back out of the fill whole you are full and quickly take the plug and reinstall. YOUR done.
TIP: make sure you are filling this diff on a flat surface to get the level correct. It is essential because the axle bearings require the fluid also to stay lubed and if the level is low they will NOT get the proper oiling and fail quickly. Jim
