A9 wheel Bearing - Which side of bearing is toward retainer?
8.5 bolt in Axle-71 Olds
A9 Bearing, wheel/axle bearing.
It definitely is NOT symetrical from a top view. It bulges slightly more on one side than the other. It has an extra 'band' on one side, and is 'open' on the other. There has to be a side that goes in first that is against the retainer, and the other side, obviously faces out toward retainer/wheel. See Pics.
My question is:
"Which way does it install?"

Yes its pressed onto the axle when you hold the bearing in your hands and push the inner part you can feel it pressing into the outer ring turn it around and it pushes apart or away from the outer ring.
