Morning all,
Decent day here again today, although they say that will change for the next couple of days. Guess I better take a drive in the Cutlass while I can.

May'be Blue is trying to avoid talking to anyone right now. He likely just wants some alone time with his thoughts. I'm sure he'll come around when he's ready.

Have a super duper day all.

Morning All!

Well we survived another round of bad storms last evening. These ones were worse than Monday's! Had nickel size hail come down for about 20 minutes - rain in sheets, wind blowing hard, thunder & lightening. Just awful! Tornado sirens went off again. Was trying to listen to the weather on the radio when we lost the satellite signal. We have all sorts of tree limbs down in the yard and the back yard is a lake again. Just more proof I need to be in Arizona!!

I had thought about going to a cruise over in Munroe Falls.... glad I didn't. It was sunny when I left work, but very windy. We had a heavy rain come through about 3:30, but the roads were dry. Glad I stayed home!! I put some smoked sausage on the grill and made a foil pack of taters, onions, mushrooms & seasonings in butter, on the grill. It was pretty good! Got done with it just before the storm hit.

Well today is my Friday!!!! Don't have to come back in here until next Wednesday!!!! Now they're calling for it to be a decent weekend, temps in the 80's and some sun, so that will be wonderful!! Lots I need to do at home. Might get out the carpet cleaner and clean all the carpets. Need to get out with the Ultimate Cloth and a bucket of water and clean the outside of the windows. I hate dirty windows!! The cloth makes that job a breeze, though. No more fumbling around with paper towels and window cleaner!! I love it!

Jamesbo....... She probably can shoot - she's watched Larry kill critters around here for a long time, lol! We had a coon out in the back yard last night after the storm. I went out and put the cat food away so he wouldnt be tempted to come in. Clay was just telling me he can't plant his garden this year - his garden plot is under water. He had such good green beans last year, too.

Well have a good day all!

Good Morning All!

Well just like Jamesbo said HOT again. The kids are out of school and I let them roast marshmallows and make s'mores then they swam for a while until the skeeter's tried to carry them off. They enjoyed the kick off to summer.

I think I have gained the upper hand again to my garden. I staked all the maters and cukes up gave them a good weeding and watered them with the magic mix. Got plenty of blooms, I just hope they produce.

Hope Everyone Has A Great Day!

Good morning guys and Sandy

Cool, wet and light rain supposed to last until Sunday which the weatherman says will be nice then back to rain again on Monday. I will try to get the 57 out on Sunday and take a cruise. Still cool around here late 50' to mid 60's.

Jamsbo,

Time to get out the flashlight and the shotgun and do a little night ranger stuff and say by by to the critters. You can hold a memorial service later.

Well today would have been a great day to get out in the Olds but been to busy. Busy again tomorrow and probably a long day haulin manure, oh well gotta do it. The next 3 days look warm with temps around 25 , that's close to 80 for my American buddies. Got the garage all cleaned up at mom's and here plus the basement. been paying the kid to help me out and now that the house has been power washed it can be stained. More work for the kid so he won't want to look for a job for a bit yet.
I already have a kid wanting to get driven to the prom in the Olds so I hope it does not rain that day. Went last year with my kid and his friend plus their dates. I guess it's painless so I will do it again.
I know I have to get some cruising in it for myself soon , maybe this weekend.

Morning all,
Well its raining again today, and they are calling for chances of rain all weekend. The only good part about that is my commitments this weekend wouldn't allow any cruising time anyway. Will be helping a friend move.
Everybody have a great day and an even better weekend.

Good Friday Morning All!

We got just enough rain to knock the dust of the plants and trees. I think 1/4" at most. It's supposed to be about 10 degrees cooler though, so highs in the mid 80's.

Hopefully you guys can stay dry while moving. I don't care for moving much, but when I do I hope it will be for the last time.

I think I may take the kids fishing today, its up to them. They will probably want to swim instead.

I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful weekend!

Yeah I know I think the rain water evaporated already.
So back to watering the garden.

My wife is still going through that same withdrawal with the oldest, since she started college this year. She is attending the big party school of GA Southern. But luckily she is very bright and knows what she wants out of life. Last check of her progress was around 3.5 GPA. Not too shabby.

The kids would love it up there and we would too. Definitely have to get up there soon. We were contemplating between going to the beach and the mountains this year and I only enjoy the beach when there is no kids.

Good luck on yer varmit hunt, I caught a lowly squirrel last morn in my hav a hart and I took him bye de bye down the road.

Good morning all

Cool and cloudy here with a little rain supposed to have one good day (Sunday). We'll see.

Jamsbo, use a little C4 to get the critter like on Caddy Shack. One of my all time favorite movies. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3lYm0...eature=related

When the last kid left home I got my wife a little dog. Easier to let her pay all that spent up mothering on the dog then on me.

Have a great Holiday weekend all

Morning All!

Had a vacation day yesterday. Went and got Nicole and we went and got Linda and then we went out for breakfast. It was nice! Then I had to fill out a ton of paperwork for Linda for the housing place that helps pay her rent, and another ton for the apartment building she lives in. It's like "nothing has changed, people"!! So my day was pretty shot. Didn't get home until 5ish.

Its cloudy here now and in the 60's. Sun was out earlier. They said its supposed to be sunny and in the 70's today. I'm sitting at Famous Hair waiting for my hairdresser, so I'm typing this from my phone, lol. Its hard to do! Then I'm gonna head home and vaccum the carpets and then clean them. Hopefully I will get the windows washed too. Gonna spend tomorrow with Nicole, Lin, and Jean, going to the cemetery and planting flowers on the graves. We have 5 that we do. Have to take a couple bags of dirt to add in to that hard clay out there. Can't hardly dig in that stuff. So that will be an all day job.

Don't have much planned for Monday and Tuesday. Hopefully sun and lounge chair!!

Have a great day all and stay safe!

I'm around today... Having a good time watching NASCAR practice for the 600, and CLEANING TOILETS!

I had Stabil and the Enzyme treatment in the gas in Blue Belle over the winter, but I seem to have a case of the stalls. I think it's a gas problem. There's some stuff called Start! that ya'll put in the gas. Says it cures ALL stale gas problems. Has any one on The *New* Good Morning Thread tried it?

I sure don't want to get rid of $100.00 worth of gas!

Say a prayer for our departed defenders and our troops that protect us.

Have a great Memorial Day weekend!

Morning all, I'm to tired to go to work today, can someone else do it for me? Hope it's nice and sunny for ya'll this weekend. I've already made the 29th here so I will have a moments silence for all our fallen heroes, for both our countries.

2 more days and Teepo has to relinquish the calendar for another year Sandy

I got my work bonus early this year so I ordered the rest of the parts needed to finish my rebuild, now only have to wait for them to turn up and send the required parts off t the machine shop. I can not wait to have her up and running again.

Well time for me to go to work, unless there are any takers? No? OK I guess I'll go then lol. Have a great long weekend and be safe everyone.

Well it looked like rain all day and it was warm and humid. I took a chance and went out for a cruise in the Olds , top down , and no problem. The sun even peeked out near the end of the hour long trip.
As far as fallen hero's go we might as well make it a threesome of countries. The fellows can't get out of there soon enough.

.....What Does Larry Do?

Well Don, he spent today with a shovel in his hands digging up the yard in front and to the sides of the garage behind the house, and laying drain tile so the water won't run inside the garage anymore. It's low out there, and with all this rain, water has been getting under the doors and in to the garage. All last week he put up drywall on the ceiling out in that garage and has been putting the spackling on it and the walls. Teepo should stay warmer out there this coming winter. He's insulated it real good and put up drywall.

Tomorrow he'll go to the shop and clean toilets and mop floors and dump trash, etc... we can't afford to hire someone to do it. Then he'll mow the yard over there, fix any machines that may have problems and whatever else needs done.

He used to go with us to the cemetery, but since we bought the building and moved the shop almost 2 years ago, he has more than enough to do, and not enough time to do it all in, lol. I gotta give him credit - he works hard!!!

I got 3 rooms of carpet cleaned this afternoon. My back is killing me! The carpet cleaner is nice, but it's heavy pushing and pulling it. Tomorrow I'll do Nicole's room and the hallway before I leave. Didn't get to the windows yet.

Was gonna go to a show in Garrettsville but it was from 5 to 8 and I was doing the carpets. Wolfie.... It's good that you got to take a nice long drive! It's nice to get out, isn't it?

Adrian.... nice to hear from ya! Happy to hear you'll be gettin your parts! I'm trying not to think about May being over so soon - it sure went fast. I hope Teepo makes it on the calendar again next year!!

CQR....... glad ya joined us!

Well have a good evening all!

Good Morning all. A special thanks to all those who gave some and a hearthfelt thanks to those who gave all. This is your day.

Sore this a.m. The race went well, real dry down in So. Colorado. Dusty too. (ATV race) They haven't had any measurable precip in quite some time. Foggy this morning up here in Denver.

T minus 5 days and counting.

Morning all,
Sure was a nice weekend here, weather cooperated. Too bad I had to spend Saturday helping my buddy move, we started 7 am. and finished just after midnight. Actually found some muscles I didn't know I had [ so sore today ].
Looks like a hot humid and dry week ahead. Looking forward to getting the car out for some long drives.

Sandy, At least you have Teepo to look at and drive everyday, and anyone that has seen the calender won't forget her soon.

CQR, welcome to the good morning thread.

Good Morning All! And welcome aboard CQR.

Well another hot but beautiful day here. We had the brother in law and his family over yesterday for a swimming party and grilled out hamburgers and hot dogs. Then I helped him take off my nephews door panel on his S-10 so we could change the side view mirror. Everything went smoother than expected, because I always tend to break those plastic fasteners.

Anyhoo I hope everyone has a safe and happy Memorial Day!

And X2 on the special thanks to those that gave some and a super big thanks to those that gave all.

In Flanders Fields
By: Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918)
Canadian Army

In Flanders Fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields. Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Thanks Don! Afternoon all, and Happy Memorial Day! Our thoughts are with all who have and are serving our country!!

It's a scorcher out here today!! I am lovin it!! 93 degrees right now. Muggier than heck too. I turned on the A/C in the house today. Couldn't take the humidity any longer.

Finished cleaning the carpets yesterday morning, then did all my regular housework and went and got Linda and headed to Jean's. We went to the cemetery and cleaned and planted on graves for 3 hours! It was a nice day - sun and in the 80's, but very muggy and humid. Then we went to the Dairy Queen and had chili dogs and nice cold drinks. Got some storms around 8ish.

Today I got all the windows cleaned on the outside. I sure love that Ultimate Cloth! Makes it so easy! Nothing to carry around except some water in a bucket.

We worked out in the yard - I planted my green bean plants up by the deck. I hope they do good, I dunno. First time I've planted them in the ground, lol. We'll see I guess. Came in and took a quick shower and am taking Teepo and heading over to the Riverfront cruise in!! It's street rod night tonight. It's gonna be packed, so I'm gettin an early start!

Have a great afternoon all!

Good morning All

Has been an early morning- our 2 and 1/2 month old decided to give us an early start to the day, unfortunately he has him mum's lungs so no chance of getting back to sleep . Its raining heavily over here in normally sunny Perth but we need it. Not sure whether to take the olds for a run into work today before we zip off on holiday for a couple weeks. Just got onto this thread and great to see the banter between the folks on CO.

Morning All!

It's gonna be another hot steamy day here. Heading for what they're calling record highs for today, around 90. Some storms tonight as a cold front is gonna come through. I might get out there and wash Tincanio today. Gotta dust Teepo off - she's all dusty after being over at Don's cruise at the Riverfront last evening. She gets so many compliments! Just makes my heart feel good!!

There were probably around 300 cars there yesterday. I got there a little after 4:30, and there was one parking spot, so I took it!! It fills up so fast over there. Nicole and her boyfriend Dave came by! It was nice to see her. She won't come over here to the house when Larry's home. We walked around and looked at the cars and of course I took lots of pics, lol! Had us a burger, and sat and talked. Very nice evening.

I cleaned the inside of the windows this morning. Don't have much planned today except to lay in my lounge chair later. Back to work tomorrow. I'm glad I took today off!

OrthoK, welcome to our thread!!! We do need more Aussies, now that the Colonel isn't with us any more.

Jamesbo..... Glad to hear you caught the groundhog! Now come catch this one under the shed, lol! He's a big sucker!!

Here's our website if you want to see what Larry does, lol! (Besides cook, that is)

Have a great day all!!

Morning all,
Another beautiful day here today, however its supposed to get very humid this afternoon. The only thing to do is to go cruising early to beat the humity.
Its time to put the honey do list on hold until at leastthe end of September. Being retired has its benifits,if its too hot to do something today you can wait for another day.
Have a wonderful day all.
