The *NEW* Good Morning Thread!
Hi everyone.
Would have been a nice day for sleeping except my boy kept coming in to bug me. I don't know what his problem was. Finally got up around 3 and started my evening.
Yes Jamesbo the "pole barn" is actually a hangar. Since I don't have a plane to put in it it's just a barn to me. If it weren't sitting at an airport a barn is exactly what it would be. When it's mine I'll take some pictures so everyone can see the new Estate.
So I learned something. I always put my used dryer sheets in the cars, and now you're saying they have to be new? That's okay, they're cheep. And still a lot cheeper than reupholstering.
Last night at work wasn't bad, but it was cold. I was standing on a lift truck at the top of a 717's vertical stabilizer most of the night. Got home an hour or so early this morning so I wouldn't mind repeating that again.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Time to hit the bricks. Have a good night everyone.

Hi everyone.
I think I figured out why the dogs are so restless. Because it's warmer in the house and they aren't all curled up keeping warm. Well, that's my best guess anyway. Was a nice day today, over 60 and sunny.
Jamesbo I might have to get an airplane so I can go up to the runway and buy fuel. I don't know how easy it is to get fuel in a gas can, so if I had a plane no one would look twice. Then I could sump it into my cars. Now if I could only get a jetliner to land there I'd have a ready-made house.
Got home a couple hours early this morning. Third time's the charm? I doubt it, but I'd take it. Got kind of a rogue lead tonight, no telling what he'll do.
Well not much from me. Allan I hope you're getting along okay. Hope everyone has a good start to their week.

Evening all!
Cold but sun today, until the clouds moved in late afternoon. Temps in the 40's.
I took Lin shopping yesterday. Tried to organize her freezer, and cleaned out her fridge. Went through her receipt box and brought home a bag of old stuff to shred. I didn't get home until around 7. I was whipped! So glad I can soak in the bath tub now... I really needed it last night! It was great!!
Today Larry got his big ladder out and moved some of my bird feeders up higher in the trees so hopefully the deer can't reach them! I still can't stretch up real good.
I mixed up some more DoTerra oils today. The lavender mixture is really helping the scars to fade. I'm using another on my swelled areas, and another for the lymph nodes. I'm ready to be over all this! I see my 'female' doc on the 24th... I'm anxious to see what she says about all this. I'm going to ask her if I should have my ovaries and such removed. I know breast cancer and hysterectomies go hand in hand.
Tomorrow I go back to see the lung doc again. It's been 3 months. Waste of $40!!
I put Teepo away this afternoon.
Depressing. I have to see how many miles we went this year. I think a little over 1400. Not many.
Clint.... what'd you think of TWD tonight?? I wondered about Eugene. I didn't think he had a cure, but I did think he was a scientist. Interesting....
Well I better get off here and work on the time sheets the payroll lady wants me to fill out, clear from July! What fun!! Hopefully we'll get our bonus checks in this pay on Friday. He gave them last year in our first check of the month. My paycheck ain't going to amount to a hill of beans at this part time.....

Evening everyone. It was a half a working weekend for me. I have been placing my joint relief product into stores and to help generate interest, I have been going into the stores to promote it. Saturdays are the best day for foot traffic so that's when I need to be in there. Starting to move well in some local stores and I'm working on two big chain accounts right now.
Also, I signed contracts to pick up two new lines on Thursday. One is a homeopathic migraine product and the other is a service to help merchants save money with their credit card processing fees. I think their both going to be winners, can't wait to get trained on both.
I was driving in Manhattan the other day in the rain, could not believe it but I saw a 53 Chevy, early 80's Pontiac Safari station wagon and a 75 Nova all on the road there. It's so nuts driving around in the city, let alone worrying about driving your classic in there.
Our pup is still having issues unfortunately. He's now on another medicine to try to get rid of the diarrhea. Poor guy, I feel bad for him but at least he does not seem to be in pain.
Mike - no problem, we always try to make sure he gets enough attention and love.
Clint- yea that is unbelievable. If they find that police officer innocent of any wrongdoing, there will be riots, not only in Ferguson but probably in other places as well.
Jamesbo - I think my fire alarm system is wired the same way. Why, I have no idea. I keep telling myself that people smarter than me designed these systems so they must know something I don't.

Well, I'm going to watch the Packers pummel the Bears for a few more minutes and head to bed. Have a good night all.

Good morning everyone.
Not a bad night at work, just that we had a POS lead and he let half the crew go home and then went home himself, just after lunch. The rest of us stayed and waited on one guy to finish up what he was doing and finish paperwork. This lead does stuff like this all the time. He was a ***** as a mechanic as well. Oh well, I'm off for three so I'm not even thinking of that place.
Gonna try to stay up today as I have a few errands to run and some things that need to get done. It will be an early night for sure. Well, 11o'clock as that's when Charlie's Angels ends.
Okay gonna hit the road. Have a good Monday everyone.

Mornin all
Been at the shop since four this morning trying to get the truck ready for winter which is showing up this afternoon.
Darrell and Jamesbo. Maybe in case the power is cutoff before a fire you need batteries, and maybe they don't trust the public to replace the batteries so they hard wire some?
Have a day all.

Out o'the loop
Morning, boys & girl.... Made it back Saturday and spent yesterday trying to tie up loose ends at The Plantation... and there are a lot to tie. Also spent all afternoon depressed after those Left Coasters put a whoopin' on the Boys in Black. What a sad, sad ending.
Anyhoots, I need to catch up with all the latest goings-on here and will be back soon. So good to hear you're back at work, Sandy -- even though it sounds as if nothing has changed all that much.
Here's a pic of some of my handywork in the mountains - this is the front deck, which I think really came out nice. I had redone the railings in October, and this time I put the elastomeric coating on the deck boards themselves. I still have the railings to do in the back, but I'm not in a big rush to do that. Maybe in the spring.
Whelpt, I'll be back soon. Have a great Moon Day, Oldsmofriends.

Good Monday Mawnin All
Whelp another RWYB is in the books and we had one heck of a turnout
I ran about 4 hundredths quicker this year with only a fuel line and breather change on the coupe. Best time to date 13.66 @ 98 mph.
There was a beautiful '71 W30 there that is a one owner car

Terrible pic of me taken by my better half

Hope everyone is doing well and has a great Monday

Hi everyone.
Didn't stay up this morning. Got ready for a shower and just felt, nah, I gotta sleep or I'll be a zombie all day. Told the dogs to wake me up at noon. Of course when I want them to wake me up they don't, got up around 1, went to the credit union for another three plus hours, then went with my neighbor to run a couple errands and grab a bite. Geez I was gone all afternoon. Well, I got my money all ready for closing next week and had some good country fried steak.
John the deck looks nice. How was the ride home in the new car? Smooth as a baby's... uh blanket. Any idea when the next trip out will be?
Jamesbo what the site is doing on my computer these days is when I post the words disappear and nothing happens, but if I refresh screen then it comes up as posted. Lots of weird things happening since the powers that be changed the format for the smart phones. I wish they'd change it back, I don't care for it.
Scot why is that a bad picture? You look like that all the time. bahahahaha I kill me. Glad you had a good time this weekend. Good weather for it.
So South Carolina tomorrow. Taking my neighbor's Camaro to his friend to get some work done on it. It should only be a couple hour ride each way so I hope it doesn't take all day.
Okay have a good evening everyone, gotta get ready for Starsky and Hutch.

Mornin all.
Well it started off about 60 yesterday then the bottom fell out. Sitting at 14F right now, and tonight we're spose to get down to nothing.
Scot looking good. Do you go with full slicks while racing? I always wanted to put slicks on the Mustang. but then I'm sure Id break something else.
Jamesbo, you know what they say, the mind is the first thing to go.
John, that looks good. I sure with our deck would hold paint for more than a year. the wife has had it with ours, I think she is pulling down the railings next year and wants to put up some powder coated wrought iron ones.
Allan, sending good thoughts your way.
Have a day all.

Good Tuesday Mawnin and Happy Veterans Day! Thank you for our freedom for those that served
Mike you are quite correct, that's why I don't care for my pic to be taken
Thank you for the extra you put in the mail, you didn't have to do that.
Thanks Clint
No slicks this go round, I had a guy bring me a pair but they were dry rotted
As of now I run the Hoosier Pro Street 31x12.5 that is way more tire than I need.
We had a professional photog appear and took some amazing shots if anyone is interested. http://briankkreuser.smugmug.com/key...%20Ya%20Brung/

Good morning everyone.
Pretty out, and not that cold. Maybe 40. Clint I feel for ya. I hate seeing winter come on but when I lived up home I -really- hated seeing winter come on.
Scot you want more?
Anyone here ever use EZ Lift? Looks like a cool thing but the website doesn't answer some questions I have.
Gotta get loaded up and head to South Carolina today. My neighbor has owned his Camaro for 20 years and hardly did anything to it, and now he's in crisis mode to get all this stuff done to it. He took it to some hack a couple times and neither one of us was happy with the work, so we're taking it to a friend of his who's a mechanic and he'll keep the car probably all winter and do everything it needs. Should be a fun cruiser next summer.
So I was thinking, I need to get a farm truck or some such thing to keep on my property, you know in case I show up there in a car but need to haul stuff around. I don't want to spend a lot but every truck I saw under 500 needed a motor. I asked a friend why this was and he said, because trucks that have good motors are worth more than 500. Have you ever felt yourself giving someone the deer in the headlights look?
Time to get moving. Have a good Tuesday everyone and Happy Veterans Day.

Allan are you under the weather brother? If so I hope you get well soon. I guess I didn't go back far enough to see

Mike are you talking about the ez-lift as in a $1200 car lift? If so then it is good for what we would use it for, but not a shop that depended on it daily.
No worries brother, I didn't have 24.xx so I sent that. Sorry Jamesbo, no drug deal today. You are mod, though. Groovy.
Yes that's what I was looking at, but I think it's more than 1200. This new shop is tall but not tall enough for a four post lift, so I was thinking the EZ Lift would be nice to get cars up off the floor. I think I'd just as soon use a floor jack and jackstands.
Saw an old dog walking past the Awful house this morning. He didn't look well. I know my dogs don't like other dogs, but I was concerned for this old guy. But I looked away for a moment when I was talking to someone and looked back and he was gone. He probably lives in all that brush and woods behind the shopping center. Man I hate to see that.

Mike, Ya do remember I've got a lift dat came outa an ole gas station in Helen [when it was converted to a bar] It's sitting on my trailer on Chimeny Mountain rd between Helen and Lake Burton. I'm never gonna use the thing
Afternoon everyone.
Nothings changed yet, except it's cold here now and there's a lot of snow and ice.
Thanks for the support. I'll let you know when all is done and over with. Scot, it's not sickness.
Today is my sons birthday so at least it will be a happier time this afternoon after I pick him and his GF up at the bus station. BD decorations are up and his favorite Black Forest cake awaits. He always makes me feel better just by being around, no matter what.
I'll check in from time to time.

Mike these are the ones I was seriously thinking about as I have room for either, but if you scroll down to the $2400 ones there is one 6k rated one that would work for you.

Hi, all...
Just a quik "duck-in" to say Hola and hope everybody's doing OK.
Hope things improve, Allan. Sorry things are so glum. In any case, I'm happy for you that your boy visiting.
Mike, sounds like Jamesbo has a lift fer ya'... And you're right, the car was a joy on the road back to LA. Even the back and lumbar supports were great -- something I can't say for the old Camry, and it supposedly had an adjustable lumbar support (from "uncomfortable" to "unbearable"). Did great on gas, too, which is not too surprising, since I drove it like a granny. Got the license plate yesterday and the inspection sticker today, so it's all taken care of and LA-legal now.
Whelpt, y'all have a good evening, Oldsmofriends.

Hi everyone.
Had a pretty good afternoon. My neighbor didn't annoy me too much on the way up and back, it was a little over two hours each way. We used the trailer I got with the Met package. Pulled real nice and was quiet and didn't beat the heck out of us empty.
Jamesbo we might have to work something out. This is a lift that comes out of the floor? My Granddad had an old gas station with a lift like that. We also had one in the auto shop in high school.
Allan glad everyone is still breathing. Be thinkin' about you.
Holy cow Scot there's a lift there that's 18K capacity. Love the pictures of the dump trucks on the lift. I feel a little funny about a two post lift. Like it's gonna tip over or something.
Okay gotta get some laundry started then I can relax. Have a good evening everyone.

Evening all!
Had a beautiful day here today, temps almost at 70 but it was windy as heck! Yesterday was nice too. Clouded up this afternoon and I think it's raining now. Down to 58*
It's all over except for the cryin'.....
Jamesbo.... get ready cause I'm gonna start bitc*in about the weather!
So I went to Akron to the lung doc yesterday afternoon. Says he'll keep me on the inhaler since it does help my breathing some. He wants me to come in next month and he'll see if I should have a lung CT scan done to see if there's anything in them. Also might have me do a walking test that I haven't had done, to see how far I can go before I get short of breath. I told him to do what needs done before the end of the year!
On the way over to Akron, I get behind this old man in a hat, driving this black BMW. I followed him all down through Hudson and the roads to Rt. 8. He's going like 25 mph even when the speed limit is 35 (and you can go 50
). So we get on the ramp at Rt. 8 and he decides to floor it. Right where there is dirt and gravel across the road. The rocks start flying, hitting poor Tincanio and bouncing everywhere, and of course one hits the windshield. Puts a nice little chip in it, to the left of the steering wheel area. I was pissed! If I could have caught up with him I would have chewed him a new a$$!
So I called Safelite and they had an opening at 1:30 so I went and they fixed it for $54.00. I just had those other 2 chips filled on the passengers side in April. Geez.... Then I stopped at Bob's and talked to him awhile. He took those window cover things off the drivers side so he could clean them and put new tape on them, and hopefully they'll stick good this time and I can roll the windows down some when it's raining without getting wet. He said he'll call and tell me when to stop back by so he can put them back on. I came home and pulled dead flowers out of the beds, got the snow shovel out of the shed and put it in the breezeway, and made sketty for supper. That was the extent of my day!
I don't have anything planned for tomorrow afternoon. At least that I know of right now! Pam wanted to go to lunch, but I don't know....
John... your deck looks real nice!
Scot.... I think that's a nice picture of you!
Darryl.... sounds like things are improving for you! Good to hear.
Well I'm gonna get ready for bed, talk to ya later!

Mornin all.
Sandy, gonna beat you to the punch. It's about 3F right now and spose to be -6 tomorrow night. None of the critters around here are too happy about it. Present company included.
Mike they are actually very stable. If you have a 12' ceiling and a good concrete slab, you are good to go. Around here there are always used ones for sale for about $1500.
John, Glad to hear the Yota is making you happy. I can say the same. I'm really liking how the new (old) Yota pulls the hills with the plow. The FI 2.4l has quite a bit more poop than the old 2Bbl. Also I think this one is a little lighter with the factory bed. I took out a bunch of leaves from the blower fan last night. It sounds better and I think I get a little more airflow. I still prefer the seat in the old one. This one is a lot better than when I first got it. bit I think the bottom cushion is still a little weak.
Scot, I was relighting the pilot light for the furnace in the garage last night and grabbed a book of matches out of the big jar we have in the store-room, and I pulled out my 1990 Bandimere Speedway Race membership card. (Had to have it to show your car already passed tech) There was a blast from the past.
Allan, Thinking aboutcha. Hope things are getting better.
Have a Humpday all.

Mawn'in all
Kinda chili dis mawn'in but nutt'in like Clint's or Allan's digs
Mike, Yep it did come outa de floor. Now it sits on my trailer up in de mountains. I got it from de guy who remodeled de gas station and I don't think it's ever been reassembled. It comes with Jamesbo's Okalohoma Guarantee. "If it breaks in half.......... you won both pieces"
Here's what cha need to bring 1] sum wire cause de squirrels ate the wiring on de trailer what makes de lights werk. 2] a Tag cause thar was a line last time I went to de tag office to buy a trailer tag so I jes took a chance and said "F it" and drove de trailer to de mountains sans tag
Not sure Chimney mountain rd shows up on GPS but it loops off Ga 356 [de road between Helen and Batesville [picture a scene from Deliverance]
Sandy, Bit*h away, We're used to it.
John, Sounds like ya got a good seta wheels. Congats on being legal. I may try dat sum day.
Have a great day Olds friends

Good morning everyone.
Cool here but not biting, and the sun is out. Last I heard it was supposed to rain today but no signs of it presently.
Jamesbo what were you going to do with the lift? Is that bar still there, I've been to Helen a few times but don't remember seeing a gas station bar.
Clint I thought your new Yota was a Mazda/Ranger.
Sandy I would have hunted that guy down.
Tell me if this is weird. We have the GPS going yesterday and it tells you to turn in so many miles but doesn't say the name of the road. My neighbor says, what do you need the name of the road for, it gives you the distance. I said, I can't be watching the odometer to see how far I've gone, I need to watch where I'm driving. My neighbor is all bent out of shape because I insulted his GPS. He must think the voice is a real person.
Time for Awful house and errands. My last day off already. I think that if I worked one day a week I'd complain. Happy Humpy everyone.

Good Wednesday Mawnin All
A bit warmer this morning with temps near 50*, but I guess that is going to change in a few days
Yep you definitely have to have reinforced and deeper concrete to bolt it to. Luckily my Dad thought of that when he poured the middle bay in the shop. IIRC he poured it 8" deep. One day I will have one...
Why thank you Sandy. I normally do not like my picture taken, especially when I have four girls and three of them are constantly taking selfies
Kids nowadays are so vain to say the least. And at least they won't break the camera because they take after their Mom, but I worry about them and what will become of this Country when we are gone
That is way cool Clint
What would be even cooler is to have pics, flyers and pit passes to frame with it.
Whelp better get after it, happy dromedary day

B*&#h away Sandy, I'm listening, really!
Michigan's Upper Peninsula got up to 3' of snow, just spitting here, though they are predicting 6-9" tomorrow and Thursday (lake effect) for us, got the blower going two weeks ago, and the snow brush 'n ice scraper are in the car.

Ready for the Arctic Blast/Vortex?
I'm not! Just glad to be down in the DEEP, DEEP south, where I'll only see the high 20s for one or two nites. I feel for you Canajuns, Colorodans, New Yorkers, Michiganders, and everybody else N of the Mason-Dixon. This is too #$%^& early for that kinda' stuff...
Plannin' on being back up in God's country at end of year, Mike. Maybe Jamesbo would be up for another rendezvous at Dillard House or something... (Scot?)
Thanks, Sandy. Hope things just keep gettin' betterer and betterer fer ya'.
Jamesbo, maybe the Supermodel doesn't share your aversion to the lederhosen -- OR Helen.
It's a nice place to visit... and once is probably enough.
Whelp, I have a 7 p.m. apperntment somewhere and I gotta' skedaddle.
Have a warm night and Thursday, Oldsmofriends.

Evening all!
Cold, dark and depressing here today. Temps in the 30's and they haven't moved any. It was just dark gray all day.....
Clint.... they show highs in the 20's next week. We're to get the friggin lake effect snow Sunday and Monday. Guess we could get a bit of it on Monday.
Have I ever mentioned I hate winter?
Long morning at work. We haven't heard from the owner yet about our turkey's or bonus'. Brian was commenting on that today. Usually we get an email, but I guess it's only mid week. Last year he told us to go out for lunch on the company too. We'll see. I'm sure he's worried about profits and such. There were some big expenses for the company this year. I'm just thankful to have a job!
I went to lunch with Pam and Donna today.
We met in Streetsboro. It was nice to see them and talk. Got home after 2 and I didn't do much. I was yawning and yawning. Don't know if it was just the dark gloomy day or what, but I could have laid down and slept! Instead I listened to Joel awhile and then did a Gilad workout to get my spirits up and the oxygen flowing.
I called Cigna today and was told they did get the pre cert from the surgeons office this time, and it's in review. So that's a good thing.
I want to get this done!!
Well you all have a good evening!

I called the Vet, yesterday to get the cat in for his vaccinations, They said that I (the cat) will have a new Doctor, as my old one ( a 30ish gal) got fed up with Michigan's weather and left for Vegas last February! She was a native Michigander from Clare, Northeast of me.
Mornin all.
Dan, does she have a place for me to stay?
I'm not gonna blame her one bit.
Sandy. It's nothing right now. Heat wave, It was spose to be about -10F. I can't really tell a difference between the 2 anymore. It's just dam cold.
John, Aren't you eastern time? Looks like you were about a half hour late for your appointment.
Scot. No flyers, but I do have the license plates they gave out for the high school drags.

Mike, My DD is the Mazda, but not long after I bought that a customer of mine decided to sell his 1988 Hilux. It had just shy of 90k miles on it, and he only wanted $1500 for it. I couldn't pass it up. So that has the plow on it. and no shell incase I need to get an engine or something large that they will use a sling and a forklift for.
Well, Have a day all.

It's getting cooler here
Always seems to be a cold snap around the same day(s) as the Perry Swap Meet
Jamesbo I'd love to come up thar but the $ always gets funny this close to Christmas
Clint that is too bad about the flyers, but the plate is cool too. Funny how we don't think about stuff like that during the moment.
Whelp I think I'll recheck the weather situation and contemplate on going to the swap meet. Always fun walking around and shooting the $#!+ with good friends.
