Good morning guys,

Beautiful day here yesterday and Dawn and I both went to Keegan's first 2 Flag Football games. One from noon - 1pm, and 2nd from 1pm to 2pm. It was fun, and he scored a couple of touchdowns in each game. Like Gabe, he is very tall and much more physically mature than other kids his age. It was full sunshine and like an idiot I didn't put any sunblock on so I'm dealing with a sunburn this morning as a result. I should really be smarter than that!

We had storms roll thru last night between 1am and 4am and Monty had his usual meltdown and I didn't get much sleep. Even worse front headed our way this afternoon/evening with high threat of tornados, large hail, high winds and heavy rain. Keeping my fingers crossed that we don't get pummeled!

Gabe is supposed to have a hockey game at 7:15 tonight. It has to be pretty bad for his organization to cancel their games. Right now I'm planning on going, but I'll be watching the weather radar and it will probably be a last minute decision on whether I actually go. If I do go I'll drive my old truck since it already has plenty of hail damage.

Hope everyone has a great day! 😃

Today, was a miserable day for weather. Ugly, cloudy, very windy w/ gusts of 33mph, 55°F w/ a feel like temp 44°F. I canceled my tee-time for 8am this morning. Will try again tomorrow morning 8:30am.

Wise choice Norm, no sense in punishing yourself, it's supposed to be fun. Got a text from my daughter only about 15-minutes ago letting me know Gabe's game for tonight was canceled. As much as I love watching him play I'm glad they decided to err on the side of caution for a change. The weatherman is still calling for some pretty ugly stuff coming in around 7pm here.

I'm considering leaving my (current) club because they have one GOON who refers to himself as the CLUB PRO; yet, reminds me more of a dolt. They raised the membership dues (again) - complete money grab beginning next month I guess so they can pay for the pickle ball courts they haven't built. It's been this way with this club for 20 years with three different owners. Ah....I don't want to work myself up w/ a description of shenanigans which raises my BP. I think I might prefer to spend a little more money playing fewer courses I'd like to play more than my own club - which irritates me.

They make a good Lasagna. I made one today for lunch. Didn't have any garlic toast but still - I enjoy their Lasagna.

Tough decision to make I'm sure having been there so long. Good luck with it!

I personally wouldn't cut a hole in your trunk floor..
. Greg, that was in reference to Mike's post, where to access the sending unit on the GM F bodies of the 90's to 2002 must be done by cutting an access hole in the floor of the hatch area. My buddy had to do it with his wife's '98 Z/28. If I tackle it, I will drop it down. I did it with my '69 about 25 years ago, but I'm not as limber as I was then. So, I ordered the battery for my leaf blower, and the edger/weed wacker yesterday. It arrived today. Currently on the charger.

Actually, it isn't a tough decision. The NEW supposed PRO they hired last year is a GOON. The NEW GM they hired last year just prior to hiring the new PRO GOON is a mere money grabber set on supposed monetary alignment strategies which is a fanciful term for MONEY GRABBER. Now paying more for cart fees, membership dues increase, supposed new pickle ball courts (I really give a flying "F"), too many bunkers they don't have the allowance ($$) to maintain, I could go on. Better to leave & I will.

The general theme is this. If it raises my BP I'm better off walking away & eliminating the perturbation. My life, my $$, my decisions. F'em.

Chris - There's a guy considering a (under) hood replacement blanket for his car. You happen to recall the CO members name from South Carolina who has the 66 or 67 4-4-2 we've both responded w/ him in posts/threads? I helped convince him of the "4-4-2" emblem for the underside of his hood.

The bad front just got past us. Some very tense moments about 40-minutes ago. TV weatherman was saying a Doppler Radar indicated tornado was headed right between us and my daughter's place near Barnhart about 4-miles north of us. Sky got pitch black and then super heavy rain, very high winds, and some smaller hail. We went to the basement with about 20-minute lead time from the weatherman. I have yet to see any visual confirmation of a tornado that went thru on the ground, but the way the sky looked it sure looked like there could have been. I'm not seeing any visual damage within the neighborhood from my windows. Scary there for awhle though!

Yeah, I knew you wouldn't actually cut a hole in your trunk floor. Funny your friend had a '93 Z28 that he replaced fuel pump- I had one too and the FP was really noisy. I replaced it and had to drop the exhaust system to do it! That was a great, fun car-- LT1 6 speed. Seems that in tank FP's are getting better- I remember it was real common to have to change FP's. Not so much any more- knock on wood....

Canadian Geese are back- boy they crap alot!! Last year our neighbors gave us a green laser light. This morning I aimed it at a couple geese and they took right off!! They can't stand the green beam! I guess a good way to keep them from settling in your yard. They are beautiful and fun to hear and watch, but boy do they make a landmine! I am going to look at a 56 Chevy 210 wagon tomorrow- That has been my #1 desired car for a good while- that is #1, 56 F100 is #2 which I have. I hate to go look at it in a way cuz I have been thinking I should downsize, but a project will be good for me...

It look's like its going to be stick built.

My favorite [ pi$$ money away] were the custom built [with logo] wooden par 3 benches. That didn't last a month because the grounds keepers tossed them out of the way to mow

Greg - We had a couple pair of Canadian Geese that would come back every summer to the small lake I grew up on, and you're right, just a few can make a real mess in a hurry if they choose your yard to camp out in. The most destructive creatures though were Muskrats. They would burrow a den from underwater, up under the bank into the yard and you wouldn't know it was there. Then when you went to mow or weedeat near the bank your leg would go thru the thin layer of sod up to your knee or deeper, very aggravating! When we would catch them up on the water swimming and could get to a shotgun quick enough we'd just shoot them because they were so destructive. They could be a real PIA! Good luck with the Chevy Wagon, I hope it turns out to be a good deal for you.

I don't know much about various types/characteristics of lightning. I had no idea the pink color is rare. I'll be sure and tell Dawn she captured a rarity. Norm, do you know if there are specific conditions that cause it to be that color?

often caused by atmospheric conditions—such as dust, haze, or high moisture—filtering the light during a storm. It is most frequently observed during winter snowstorms, where snow reflects and scatters light, or in the upper portions of intense thunderstorms, making it a beautiful, often rare, sight. Norm - I quoted and then responded to your research on the lightning, basically saying that it made sense since we experienced a considerable amount of hail along with torrential rain during the storm. When I posted my response it got hung up by the site saying it needed Moderator Aproval. WTF, now we need approval for talking about the weather???

Norm - The Moderators must have taken the night off because my original reply never came thru? Anyway, what I replied was that your research on that type of lightning made sense because in addition to torrential rain there was a considerable amount of pea sized hail mixed in that could be the "debris" you mentioned.

Hi everyone.

Today is Jet Drag day. Teams of employees from across the system vie for who can pull a 757 the farthest. It isn't my thing but they seem to have fun. Tom Brady is here to help. I said, isn't he the guy they named the International Terminal in LA after? No he's a ball player of some sort. He could walk up to me and say boo I wouldn't know who he is. Apparently Delta pays him to be a spokesperson.

Busy at work today. We were busy yesterday and signed 165 wheels. Not sure we'll get to that point today but it won't be far off. I have a good team so of course I'm the star player.

Chris that's a nasty storm. I wouldn't have guessed that it was still daylight hours from looking at that picture. When I was little I was mortified by storms like that, and my family would make fun of me. Even now as I approach middle age I feel uneasy when we get a bad storm. I try to be strong for Tiger.

We have Canadian geese on the lake and once when one was swimming past I timed it; they **** every 7 seconds. It's actually -Canada- geese. And Canadian Club.

The International terminal in LA is Tom Bradley. No idea who he is, either.

Okay the rain has stopped from this morning and I'm gonna putter around in the yard after work. Hope everyone has a good day.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Bradley_(mayor)

Okay I don't know why it keeps doing that. He's the 38th mayor of LA, and a host of things related.
