Delicious. No, I did not clarify the butter. I ate nothing else w/ my two lobster tails. Broiled perfectly each touched nothing but butter before landing in my mouth.
Sound like you did better than the Chiefs.

Wife just sold this China Cabinet today. The white decorative piece on top is not part of.it. She bought it for $25, and maybe has $10 at most in materials in it. Sold it for $300.

This is the big push for the cashless economy. So they can extort more. Cash transactions have no record, on purpose.

I have some Olds parts to sell, but I am going to have to watch how many I put through goods and services paypal so I don't hit the report limit.

Qubits are pretty cool...the engineering design of chips capable of running Quantum algorithms is seriously the shitsky.

All this talk about all this new fangled, fancy smanzy $hit and all I'm worried about is where I can still trade my penny stash in for paper!

Penny stash...dude. Better hang on to those little pieces. The Big Guy has put the kabosh to any further minting of pennies. You could be rich - sometime, maybe (don't hold your breath).

I heard that. I can see the next step being they're no longer legal currency. Maybe they'll have recycling centers where they can be turned in to be melted down for wire or water pipes?

Not sure what copper pipes are made from these days - most likely copper (Cu) - what a novel idea, eh? I do know all new(er) pennies are 95% Zinc:5% Copper.

I think I read the new cheaper Chinezium copper pipes are 5% Cu and 95% Pb.

I'd have to say/suggest (1) none of those pipes can or would be sold in U.S.A. supply houses since they would not meet any U.S.A. manufacturing standards & would not be available for sale; and/or (2) the article you found the information is blatantly incorrect. I'm pretty sure all Cu piping has to be a minimum 99% copper or a copper alloy such as C12200" or "Deoxidized High Phosphorus (DHP) copper. I could be incorrect.

Modern pennies are copper coated zinc. I abraded the edge off of a penny and left it in HCL acid and it ate the zinc and left me with copper veneers. 1943 pennies are either solid zinc or steel. Older pennies are copper.

Modern copper house pipe is much thicker than the original 70s stuff. My house has that and I have fixed leaks. My new place will be awesome copper (thick). PEX is better than thin copper, toss up with thick copper. I'll post what I buy here in a couple years.

When i started the remodel on my house about 20 yrs ago I installed PEX with a ManaBloc system. I have not had any issues with it yet.
the nice thing about the Manabloc is you have a single line going to each fixture. You can shut off each fixture separately.
When I remodeled the upstairs bath I was able to just add to the Manabloc and not disrupt any other fixture.

When welding the floor in the f100 I sometimes would have a space to fill. I used copper behind the space- tried a penny- Wow what a fire show- that's when I found out the penny isn't copper.
Norm, when I was in the USN our small salvage ship used to go to San Clemente Island and anchor out for diver training/quals/etc. They were known to bring up lobster. Bunch of us sailors went over to a married guys appt one night and watched TV.(Dukes of Hazard) His wife went in kitchen to make us a snack, I'm thinkin popcorn? No Lobster tails! Wow how awesome!!

Excellent manifold. I wasn't aware of a Manabloc manifold when I converted my home. I converted to PEX ~10 years ago on a home built 1930. I have a smaller manifold. Nice work!

Nice story. Lobster for a snack. I like it.

Ray - That's funny (to me). I lived in Florida five years & I used to catch my own lobsters on occasions - spiny soft-shell lobsters. You know what I'm talking about. They don't get as large as cold water Maine (Labrador) lobsters, but they're also sweeter than the cold water lobsters. At any rate, I did in fact use to eat those spiny soft-shell lobsters w/ my hands only. Funny thing you should bring that up. Hope all is well w/ you.

Good morning everyone.

Okay start to the day, short week for me. Yesterday I took Mom to have cataract surgery done. She did okay, but later complained that her eyes were dry, itchy, burning. I read the information they sent home with her and it says right in there that's all gonna happen. I haven't talked to her today yet but when I went home last night she said things were feeling better.

Cutlass Guy that system looks incredibly cool but my question is how is that any different from having shut offs at the fixture? I wish my main shut off was in the house somewhere, and not out in the front yard. I suppose I could put one in the basement where the waterline comes in. The one in the yard is really for the water company to turn off and lock out my water if I don't pay the bill.

Gotta come up with something to do this afternoon. It's gonna be raining so something inside. Maybe I'll just hang out with Tiger. He stayed home today so Mom doesn't have to worry about him with her eyes. He has a habit of laying in the middle of the floor and if she doesn't see him and steps on him he'll growl and then Mom gets mad. So he can sleep all day on his comfy couch. Actually laying in the middle of the floor is a German Shepherd trait.

Okay break time. Gotta find me a snack then I think I'll walk down to the credit union. Hope everyone has a good day.

Dropped off truck for new rubbers earlier this morning. Going to make a massive bowl of Tabouli (Tabbouleh) today. Yes, Jim, I know what they say about Parsley.

hyuck hyuck

I am not sure what method I want my house to be. I think I would like zone water to each bathroom with a valve, then split off to fixtures there. I will think about water pressure poaching.

Good morning guys,

Mike - Hope your Mom's surgery is a complete success and she heals up quickly.

Norm - Hope the new tires install goes smoothly.

Chilly (32°) and totally overcast this morning. It's not supposed to get out of the mid-30's for a high. Got a light dusting of snow overnight. We're supposed to get a more significant event tonight with a chance of freezing rain. We will be right on the snow/ice boundary.

No big plans, Borrrrring! Hope everyone has a great day!

Ideas often considered relative to usage: (1) Water hardness; (2) Water softener; (3) Water heater & placements of each as they pertain to household/non-household usage.

Chris - Thanks. They're actually examining RH front axle &/or seal (leaking) from previous work; R&R of one stripped threaded wheel stud (LH front wheel) - that one is most likely on me but I consider wheel (lug nut) studs to be routine maintenance - lug nuts, wheel/tire changes, etc. over 22 years do get beaten up; they ordered me a new set of spider lug nuts all around, as well. Future considerations: going to have him evaluate some front-end play (a little Lucy Goosie) maybe Pitman Arm or steering gear box. They did an R&R of tie-rod ends, new upper/lower ball joints ~1.5 yrs ago. We'll see.

Well, you've got substantially more going on there than just the 2 new rear tires. Always the potential for needing R&R on the front steering and suspension components on these +20-yr old trucks as I know well. I hope they get her staightend out (no pun intended) without breaking your bank!
