Spent the day out at the property. Couple thoughts. I wanted the inaugural pizza. Pizza Hut was ordered. The Hut called, said they'd have to use DoorDash, so I cancelled. The lady was nice. Ordered PapaJohns. Order went in, site redirected me to doordash. Took a long time and doordash cancelled. I walked outside, took a leak, thought about things. Here comes a car. Nice guy from Papa Johns with my food. We talked about how much DoorDash sucks. He mentioned no one has any drivers until the evening, but they can deliver to me. I thanked and tipped him and ate the pie.

Was really out there waiting for the gas man. Window was 8-5. I got there at 8:30. Come three, I call and this lady gets annoyed at me. I calm her down and she says she'll check. Come 4:30, I'm packing up and I'll leave the gate open. Nice gas guy calls, he'll be there at 5:10pm. Older gent, we talked shop as he filled the tank. Good experience, just late. Bought something like 350 gallons of propane. He checked the tank out.

I closed up and went to my gun club's auction. Bought nothing. Asked my friend's daughter who instructs in our program if she wanted this pink Hogue stock for a 10/22. She did, so I bought it. I'll give it to her; I don't need a 17 year old kid's money, she works hard. Did not win any raffles, went home. Think I'll stay put this weekend.

time because of the atritis sh&t. Have put on a new front tire on my Harley so the three bikes are ready to go , hope i
can ride my dirtbike this year due to the knee problems last year but we,ll se.

Have a great saturday everyone

Back in the 90's a guy would come to the local bar and set up Kariuki - I always did the Herman's Hermits. It was a blast- he had blow up air guitars and all. "I'm 'enery the eighth, I am". My buddy took the air guitar and imitated The Who and their guitar smashing....

John - I highly commend your patience. I would have had smoke coming out of my ears if I'd waited that long and they still hadn't showed. I've gotten better in my old age, mainly through the example set by my wife. Just one of the many ways she's made me a better person. Very kind of you to buy that gun stock for your friend's daughter!

Glenn - Good to hear from you and know you're doing well. Happy for you that the price of timber is high right now! 👍 Hope you're water therapy has helped enough so that you can spend some time on the dirt bike this summer.

Greg - Your post conjures up all kinds of crazy images and sounds picturing this group at some dive bar, all of us doing Kareoke! I think we'd have a blast, if we didn't get thrown out first.

Hi everyone.

Beautiful day, and warm. Had a meeting of the airport this morning, got some good information and was nice to see everyone. Went to the Awful house afterward.

Got the diesel Suburban running. My neighbor the hot rodder ordered a battery cable for it and the one that was sent was wrong. So he redid the terminals on the old one and put it back on. Long story short we got it to run and it runs like a champ. I took it home, have plenty more to do to it but the hard part is done. I'm pleased and relieved.

Tomorrow is Walmart. If it doesn't rain I'll work some more on the Suburban as well. I also need to change oil in the Valiant. And, and, and...

Hope everyone has a good evening.

Mike - Glad you got the Suburban running again! 👍

Don't mean to be Negative Nelly, but just a heads-up, everyone and their brother will probably be in Walmart tomorrow buying stuff for Suoer Bowl parties. Just saying . . .

Hi guys,

Just got back from Gabe's game. They played great! They were playing the 1st place team in their league out of Springfield, IL. When Gabe's team played them up there they lost to them 5-0. The other team scored 1st in the 1st Period, and then they played a scoreless 2nd Period. About 2-minutes into the 3rd Period Gabe got a pass at center ice, then juked a guy at the blue line for a breakaway and let loose a slapshot from about 20-ft away into the upper left corner of the net to tie it up. The rest of the game went scoreless for a 1-1 tie. There are no overtimes or shoot-outs during regular season play. It sure felt like a win though playing the 1st place team to a tie!

Evidently their rules - not sure I'd argue that's right.

Norm - I can't tell you the exact reasoning why their rules are like that for regular season play, but if I was guessing I'd say it's because an overtime period, and potential shootout after overtime, would both extend the time of play substantially and interfere with the scheduling of games. These Jr. Hockey teams and the rinks they play at have games scheduled all day long, one right after another, and avoiding overtime periods/shoot-outs is the only way they can keep the games on schedule.

Beautiful pics Dan! I love Bald Eagles, incredibly majestic creatures. As Norm will attest to, we have several Bald Eagle viewing sites on the Mississippi close to me, I love watching them! 👍

Hi guys,

Just got back from another one of Gabe's games. It was another exciting game. They got down 2-0 by the end of the 1st Period, but roared back with 3 goals of their own in the 2nd to go ahead 3-2 which was the final score. I was able to snap this pic of Gabe right after he had the assist on their 2nd goal.

Hi everyone.

Funny day out. Was raining a little when I got up this morning, then the sun came out, then it was cloudy, then it was sunny again. But it's warm. More rain later. Eh, got plenty to do inside.

Chris I hope all the parents are as interested and excited about the boys' games as you are. It really is a pick me up when there is support for what they are doing. Maybe a couple of the boys think if we don't do well Gabe's granddad will lecture us again!

Walmart wasn't too bad today. Mom didn't have near the stuff she usually does so we got in and got out. I hope that doesn't mean I'm going on a diet this week.

Got some paperwork to look at this afternoon and maybe change the oil in the car. I can start gathering parts for the Suburban. I need Vbelts and a couple batteries. Maybe a filter or two.

Okay have a good day everyone. I still don't know who's playing in the game tonight but I'll root for the Chiefs since that's Chris' team.

Mike - I've met and got to know most of the parents and grandparents at this point. All seem to be very nice people, and very enthusiastic and supportive of the team without being over the top. I have to keep myself in check so as not to become one of the "over the top" ones.

Glad Walmart was not too bad for ya, but hope your Mom is not closing the kitchen on you!

Thanks for rooting for the Chiefs, they'll need all the help they can get today. The game is a repeat of the Super Bowl 2-years ago, the Chiefs vs the Philly Eagles. Should be a good one!

Yes, their Offense is non-existant right now, they don't even look like.the team I've seen all season. Gotta give the Eagles Defense credit though for really shutting them down.

Why did KC try a 2 PT conversion? Take the 1 PT why widen the field? Makes no sense to me.

Doesn't make any sense to me either. Even if they scored 3 more touchdowns and a 2pt conversion on each, they'd still need a 4th possession, and that's barring the Eagles scoring no more pts. It's all over but the crying for the Chiefs, what a debacle. I've never seen the Chiefs play this bad since their 1st Super Bowl win with Mahomes.

Delicious. No, I did not clarify the butter. I ate nothing else w/ my two lobster tails. Broiled perfectly each touched nothing but butter before landing in my mouth.
