I'm going to attempt to get 18 in this morning - intermittent showers/thunderstorms in the area. I could use the practice before this weekend's tournament.
Well Jamesbo you have to tell us what that means. Looks good though.

Man I haven't been at work at this time of the morning in a long time. It has its merits. No traffic, few people, and all the pop in the cooler at the gas station is cold. I hope we aren't here all morning.
Didn't sleep worth a tinker's dam last night. I was tired when I got home, went right to bed, but my hip was bothering me and I couldn't get comfortable. My usual rule of being awake past 10 negates going in early didn't apply, since I signed up for overtime so it isn't really optional.
Ah time for the morning meeting. The loud lead is here, time for my ears to bleed.
Okay I went back and reread Post #41712 and it sounds to me like the bridge needs the bridge plate, not the vehicle. I guess I'm missing something.
So we did a whopping 52 wheels today. Yours truly did 37 of them. And just like any other day, we sit. Actually we're leaving in a few minutes, so I can get to the Awful house and see my friends anyway. Then it will be chores at my house today.
This day in 1969, last day of Corvair production. The last car off the line was damaged and not saleable, so they took pictures of it and that was the last it's been seen. The penultimate Corvair is in the Corvair museum. That car, the engine had the distributor put in wrong and it wouldn't start at the end of the line. So they pushed it to the side and put another engine in it.

That reminds me. In case anyone cares, in modern times, at my car plant, we occasionally have a car that won't start. Sometimes, we KNOW it won't go, like all of X sub model is missing a part, or we have a stream of no-fills on the brake fluid stuff, but, sometimes, it just won't go. Very small amount, like one in a thousand. We have something we call by its brand name, Stringo, and a team member uses it to tow the car to confirmation, which is nearby.
So I was too late to the Awful house to see anyone, so I didn't stay too long. Got home and took a nap. Did some stuff around the house after lunch then went to Mom's and did laundry and a few little things. Now it's off to bed early so I can do it again tomorrow.
Just beautiful this afternoon and supposed to be all week. Glorious. I hope I can get a few things done around either place, without the ensuing conversation of, do this but help me first why can't you finish this.
Okay question for the home improvement types. Is there some sort of paint or glaze I can put over glass tile that's permanent? I have ugly tile in one of the bathrooms and instead of taking it up, it's not a very big room, I thought I could change its color. Not a high traffic area.

Mike - Agree w/ Jim. Don't expect any long-term adhesion when painting glass tile, all will eventually chip & peel - some faster than others. The purpose of "glass" tile is to provide an impervious surface to almost any substance. Therefore, consider the ability of a paint to adhere to glass - not so good since glass is nearly 100% impervious (non-porous). There are specialty glass paints - either enamel or acrylic. Enamel drys hard while acrylic drys soft & remains modestly pliable for its entire life. Preparation is key. A thorough deep cleaning is necessary for best adhesion. You'd get better adhesion if you roughed/etched the surface w/ sandpaper prior to painting.
Ah good morning. I'd take duty like that any day. Not as many people showed up today, but those who did were in the back breaking down old wheels and whatnot. That is not something I can do, so I had a huge stack of bolt paperwork that needed a mechanic to sign off, so I sat at my desk and did that. A couple of keystrokes each, and I was done in a couple hours. We left at 8. Not a bad gig. I'm off tomorrow so I at least have one day to myself.
Thanks for the tile painting suggestions. I may end up taking it out anyway, the kitchen has the same ugly tile and I may need some spares for in there. Don't know yet. My entire tile experience is a 2x2 foot area that's under the wood stove. Came out okay, took me all day.
So we've reached a new record. It took 25 minutes for the computer to come up and be useful. I got the dishes done while I was waiting. Why do I have the feeling Best Buy is going to get a lot of my money all of a sudden. Dishwasher, washer and dryer, laptop.
Overcast, I may do some mowing. I have a lot of it. I wish the car places were open today. I really need to get something sooner rather than later.
Well gotta do something. I'm off tomorrow so I can stay up late tonight. I missed everyone at Awful house, again, so maybe tomorrow I can get there before they leave.
Went to a cruise-in last night at a large church about 25-miles from me and was there from about 3:30 until it wound up around 8:00. Good turnout, but had one brief pop-up downpour while I was there, and drove through another one on the way home. Well, now I know the car is watertight and won't melt! It was dark when I got home, so I just gave the car a quick wipe off and put it to bed. Got out to the garage early this morning and gave it a thorough cleaning, it was the dirtiest it's ever been since I've had it. It took me all morning to get it cleaned up.
Glad I decided to stick it out until the end last night. Even though it's a cruise-in and not a judged show, there is one award given out, a Pastor's Choice Award, and my car was chosen. Here's some pics:
Chris - Yesterday (the 1st day) we sucked eggs - tied for last place in our flight. Today, we gained 8 strokes back on the field. I don't know how we finished. My partner had a hole-in-one today - he's most likely in the hospital recovering from the bar tab check.

Norm - Sorry you had such a lousy 1st round. Cool.to.be playing with someone who had a hole-in-one! Only had that happen to me one time, and it was actually the preacher that married my wife and I who had the hole-in-one.
Jim - You (Anyone) remember Holly Sonders from FOX Sports, GOLF Channel (NBCUniversal Media, LLC), etc. She turned full-on **** star in the adult industry last year. I'm surprised the air head Paige Spiranac hasn't gone that route already.

Norm, I'm sorry, I must be old fashion. I don't believe being married to a **** star is something I wanted to entertain [ no pun intended]
What never ceases to amaze me is how some people are famous skimpily for being famous and the amounts of money they get for being famous is astonishing
Kim Kardashian is a prime example, She became famous sucking on a big one
Paige is famous for having [and showing ]' her big ****
And then they are "Shocked" when the pics videos get out on line. I mean really WTF did they think was going to happen
I believe it was Jennifer Anderson that recently said something like "Social Media is 1000 X worse that "Star: type [ gossip ] magazines
I applied (Northern Tool 30 gal. trailer sprayer) a first application of Lawn Weed & Crabgrass Killer early yesterday morning before any wind developed. I've removed all the inside corner (floor meets wall) grout from the walk-in shower & finished applying new grout to ~1/2 of what needs to be done. I might be able to finish tomorrow. The weather is gorgeous. I'm looking forward to a nice relaxed 18 holes beginning @ 11:11 this morning.
Hi guys, GEEZ, I listed a Pontoon boat on Facebook Market place yesterday. I was busy last night and couldn't check the messages. This morning I had 20 people to message I told them all to call after 9 am. I'll bet it will be gone today. It was my son's father in law's boat Mike) he bought from my good buddy in 2015. It was in perfect shape then and he paid $3500. Since then it has sat out on the lake the past 2 summers and got moldy and upholstery cracked/ dried out in the sun, etc. My son said lets try to get $2000. for it. I said no way lets sell it for the same as Mike paid for it! So I listed it for $4200 and looks like it will go for that. We'll see. Prices for all this type stuff is thru the roof....
How nice it is Monday morning that everyone went to work and I stayed home. Working all weekend was brutal! Okay not so much. But it was nice to sleep in(715) and then go see my friends at Awful house.
Greg I wanted a pontoon and was waiting out the guy across the lake. Big 28' with an 85 horse motor. A bit much for an 80 acre lake but so what. Well, he died and his nutty wife sold me the pontoon and trailer. It hadn't run in year, the story I heard was it was stuck in gear. So we towed it over to my place, and me not being a boat mechanic, never did anything with it. A friend of mine wanted a pontoon so I sold it to him for 200$ less than what I paid for it. He never did anything with it. He wanted to move so he towed it to my shop and there it has sat for a couple years anyway. He never did move. So now he says he's going to scrap it. I'll probably give him his 800 back and still not do anything with it. I still sort of live on the lake I could take it back.
I wish I could get money for doing nothing. Almost like working overtime. But I'm not about to go about it the way those others have.
Need to make some calls this morning. The final gas bill for Mom's house came before I paid the previous bill, and they have several numbers on there that they say I owe. Gotta call and see what the actual balance is. Also gotta find a new roof place. After days of waiting on an estimate from the last clown, I finally hear from him and I said great let's go ahead. He said he'd send me something in my email to sign. Never got anything. Then days later he emailed me and said, let me know if you want to go forward. Dunce. I told him I did, but he's done himself out of a job.
I have about 50 things to choose from to do today. Work tomorrow so I can't stay out too late. Beautiful day here. Supposed to get into the 90s this week. I won't mind. Tiger won't like it.

Greg, when I bought my place on Lake James, it came with a crusty old 1977 16' Crest that was bright yellow, no seats, ugly green carpet, and in need of redecking. Had a '77 25hp Johnson. I sold it in 2016 for $1300. I bought a 1993 24' Starcraft with a 90hp Yamaha for $4600 to replace it, and just sold it at the end of last summer for $8000. I feel I got a steal of a deal when I bought it, and am happy with the price I sold it for. Probably could have gotten more for it this spring, but I really didn't want to store it again. Boat prices really are cyclical with the season, stuff sells for a premium right now. By August / September, people will be looking to sell at reasonable prices again. They will still be inflated over what they should be, though. It's ridiculous.
I do believe this year may go down in my life history as one of the $hittiest years on record, or close to it. This is one of those periods when if we weren't getting bad news, we wouldn't be getting much news at all. My wife got a call yesterday that her younger brother was in the hospital. Her brother and his family were on a short 4-day RV trip and on Saturday he bent over to pick up what he thought might be an Indian arrowhead and he immediately started experiencing excruciating pain in his back, hip, and leg. He was in so much pain he couldn't even get himself off the ground. They finally got him back in the RV and brought him straight to a hospital near where they live. The hospital immediately did an MRI and determined he had 2 severely slipped discs, which may require surgery. However, that is not the end of the story. The MRI also revealed a substantial mass on one kidney, definitely cancerous, and will require removal. If he hadn't had the back issue, who knows how bad it might have gotten before he was diagnosed. Ugh!!! Man I have heard way too much of the "C" word lately. My wife's a wreck, like she doesn't have enough of her own issues to worry about!
On the brighter side, I cooked for her tonight since she's exhausted! I'm not near the cook that Jim or Norm are, but I can hold my own. I made Cream Cheese Chicken Chili that we ate over shell pasta.. The major ingredients in the chili are, shredded chicken breast, cream cheese, Rotel, black beans, corn, Hidden Valley Ranch powdered salad dressing mix, and some salt and black pepper. Good stuff!
Chris,
Looks delicious
Let's hope they caught it in time and can take it out and be done with the 'C" word. My sister in law had some stones that revealed the same thing 6 years ago. She's been fine with one kidney for a while
Well, I think I may have found a K 5 but my correspondence with the seller is taking me into places I've never been. Mike, What does this sound like? Scram or real deal
The seller is selling his [passes away ] father's car. He's over seas on a job drilling for something. He has the car with a "broker" in Philly. He says, They will ship it for free and give me 7 days to inspect before they cash my check
It walks like a duck so I axed him for the Brokers contact info
