Painting my Frame?

So after trying out the POR-15 and thinking about it tonight, I decided not to go with the POR-15. Well, for now anyway. Decided, it being such a permanent coating I will just paint the exposed portion of my frame, being the front of the car, from the engine fire wall forward with something else. Eventually I want to do an off-body restoration, 5-7 years down the road and would like to powder coat or POR-15 the entire frame at that time.

So where am I getting with all this mumbo jumbo? Well any suggestions on a paint or coating to but on my frame for now. Would prefer a paint I can roll on or put on with a brush. I do not want to spray anything as it is in my garage and don't want to get spakle all over my engine or anything else. Something that will hopefully be sandblasted off when I do a full restoration.Suggestions? Much appreciated as always.

IF you want something lest permanent than POR 15 you might consider Rust-O-Leum paint available at your local hardware store. I've used the Rust-O-Leum primer before when I did body repairs and it's durable and works great. I imagine it wouldn't be as permanent as POR 15.

I would just go with a Rust-O-Leum type paint too if you're going to remove it.
It may lift and wrinkle if you use any lacquer type spray over it but that shouldn't be a problem.
That chassis stuff is expensive in quarts because you usually spray it, takes more brushing it.
I like the True Value XO Rust paints and primers my only self.

My car ain't got no rust so I ain't not should of gonna' be needing none of that there Pork-15.

I know how to use one of those, too! Never used one on metal, though!

I used Eastwoods Chassis black and looks correct and is easier to remove than POR-15
