Sandblast/Painting Frame

I am restoring my first car...1980 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme.

I am almost to the point of taking the body off.

I have NO IDEA what figure I might be looking at to get the frame sandblasted, and painted. I was wondering if somone could give me a ball park figure.

I understand it is different for everyone, I just want to have some sort of idea so I can start letting the boss(wife) no.

Thanks

sandblasting my 67 frames cost me $175 in 2001 and then $250 in 2007.

i recommend finding a commercial sandblasting company that is used to handling large items. look for places that paint large trucks.

paint the frame as soon as possible as well. the stripped metal will begin to corrode quickly~!

Almost exactly the same here (in central IN). Frame & ~ a dozen parts (arms, x-member, swaybar, brackets,etc..) for ~$175. Paint was ~ $400 for supplies & labor....& that included welding in a couple of big washers for the frame holes that were rusted...
