82 -66 front spindles
82 -66 front spindles
i want to put front disc brakes on my 1966 f-85 and i have a 82 cutlass ... wondering if anyone knows if the front spindles will work.?.?.
will the brake booster work too??? the 66 just has manual brakes... one line thing... hole in one line and all brakes are lost
the 82 is front disc and i am going to part it out/ derby it... and was hopeing to use some of the parts from the 82 on the 66

Joe, just for clarification, would cutting the 3/4" off of the drum spindle mounting boss allow the use of the g-body caliper brackets? I've been contemplating disk brakes on my 70 and I have a 78 that I could rob for parts.
You CAN machine the drum spindles and buy repro caliper brackets for the A-bodies. The machining dimension is more like 0.68", however.
