Any recommendations on an oil pump and rear main seal for 66 442 400?

Thanks-

Is the Ford 360 seal a direct replacement? Does anything need to be done to the crank or main seal area of the block?

The Ford 460 seal is also marketed these days for Olds--a direct fit. The best version is Fel Pro 2948 made of fluoroelastomer.

Direct fit but you need to install it the right way as one side is slightly different than the other. I use a Chiltons and they show the proper direction in the Ford engine section.

Melling Oil pump?

Is this pump correct for my 66 442 400? Do I need the "high volume" for a stock engine?

Thanks-

Use the Melling M22f pump with the stock pan. Shim the pump spring .200 for better pressure.
The high volume pump is better suited for the after market oil pan.
