455 build - advice needed

hey there,

finally the block is stripped and the machine shop told me that it just needs a rehone...crank just needs polishing.

goal: as much torque as possible
budget: around 3k $ (w/o heads)

so this is my shopping list so far...only rotating assembly:

- FelPro Rear Main Seal Ford 460cui FEL-BS40032
-
ARP Main Bolt Kit 185-5001
- Clevite Camshaft Bearings SH1354S
- Clevite Main Bearings MS804P
-
Sealed Power Rod Bearings 8-3345P
-
Keith Black Piston and Ring Kit KB277KTM-STD
-
Comp Cams Timing Set 2113
- Eagle H-Beam Connecting Rods 6735O3D
-
Scat Balancer D-80022

...estimated CR 10,25:1..wanted to go with these babies but could'nt find them in standard bore size

- 4500lbs car
- stock exhaust manifolds
- stock toronado low rise intake
- 4bbl Qjet
- pro comp heads - roller set up
- custom cam by cutlassefi (i hope )
- power brakes / AC
- street/strip use
- gear 3.08
- stock converter (...will change to fit cam)
- stock tire size (15")
- dual exhaust

any suggestions??

P.S.: i also thought about an eagle stroker kit...but this definitely needs oversize bore...and as long as the block won't need this, i guess its better to save the material for later rebuilds..(?)

Just curious , I guess your limited to stock intake and exhaust manifolds? Im thinking those would be potential power robber's for a great build.

yeah thats right...you can't go with headers cause there's just no room for them

..and you will have hood clearance issues with aftermarket intake manifolds....despite that..the stock toro intakes flow really good....(like i heard)
