Question 14" wheel question

Will a 14x7 wheel with 3" backspace and 205/70 tire work up front on a 78 cutlass?

I currently have 15" wheel with 2"backspace and it hits the back side of the inner wheel well when cut hard left or right...

Thanks

It hits the lip or the flat spot area in the back? What is the wheel width on your 15's?

Has your car been lowered? That size wheel should be fine, you might try a smaller diameter tire.

Car has not bern lowered.. I have a good 2"+ between the top of the tire and the bottom of the fender lip.
I think it's just the backspacing, pushing the wheell too far out, changing the turning radius of the wheel.
Like i said, had no issues with the factory sslI wheels.
I found a set of the hurst 15" rallys i may pick up an try. If a 15" factory wheel hits, then something else is up..
