Hub caps to fit 15” rims.
Hi there,
can anyone tell me will these hub caps on my 14” rims fit 15” rims?
These rims have he 5 spring clips on the back.
14” tyres in 215/75/14 with white thin wall are not available in Australia but I can get 235/75/15 with the white thin wall hence the idea of going 15” but only if I can keep the caps.
Thank you.

I don't believe there is any way you can make those fit. For the record, your 59 did not come with narrow whitewalls. Narrow whitewalls didn't really start until 1962. It probably came with a wide whitewall that was about 2 3/4 inches wide. Of course, you probably already know this.
Someone at 2009 National Meet had done that with a 1960. Guy had attached a 1960 14" full wheelcover to 15" trim rings. Don't know what trim rings were used.
Can't remember owner's name but the 1960 wheelcovers attach the same way as your 1959s.

Decades ago JC Whitney used to sell adapter rings to allow the use of 14" hubcaps on 15" wheels. I have no idea if someone still sells them. A Google search turns up a lot of threads where people have used cheap trim rings as the adapter, per Glenn's comment above.
Thanks for the info on that I will have another look at going wider now for originality just that I did like the thin white line.
Ha ha no I actually did not know that about the wider white walls on my car originally. Happy to learn and thanks for that confirmation.
