'55 S88 Ignition Switch

So Rockauto has at least 20 different switches. Anyone have a P/N from Standard Motor, for example I can cross reference?

The OEM number is 1116504.
Book says it fits 52 thru 55 Olds.
Rock Auto doesn't offer an ignition switch for a '55 Olds S 88

I was going to suggest that.
Evil-Bay isn't so evil, when you need parts for one of these old beasts.

When I had my 54, I found lots of stuff on ebay. As a matter of fact, the car came off ebay. At times I thought about how many swap meets would I have to go to in order to get all the stuff I bought. And then some of it I would have never found. So as Charlie says, it is no so evil.

The majority of my car build needs were before I knew or used the Internet in the late 90s (late bloomer) and it was difficult at that time, hard to believe how hard it would be now without it. Same thing with antique gun parts you had to build up your sources and keep them in a book so you could remember who and what every one had and the good ones and bad....Tedd
