Ignition switch

When I turn the key to start my car my ignition switch sticks forward. I have to turn it back manually.
Does anyone know what could be causing this?

The momentary portion (spring return) of your ignition switch is either very dirty or broken! you can try cleaning it with a lubricated contact cleaner or it may need replacing.
