Trying to figure out where the Y block with the bleeder came from, the one in the top picture is from my parts car, I know I took one off the car Im restoring which I thought was the one with the bleeder but when I put the fender liner in the bleeder hit it, I went through some photos and Its the same style as the one on both my parts cars but the only Y block I have is the one with the bleeder that was in the bag of brake parts when I took everything apart, feel like Im in a twilight zone episode, the one with a bleeder ring a bell to anyone?
Not sure if they would be the same for a 55 but on my 57 there is a Y block like your top picture on top of the driver's side frame rail.
The single line comes from the master cylinder and then one side goes to the left front the other to the right front.

Exactly, both my parts cars are like the first picture, on the frame rail just behind the driver side wheel, i can't for the life of me figure out where the one with the bleeder came from.
I've worked on cars, that used a vent/bolt combination, to hold down the 'T' on the rear end housing, for the brake lines. That certainly looks like it. Maybe it's not a bleeder.
