Hydramatic question

I have a ‘55 with the Hydramatic trans and it’s time for a new radiator. I don’t see any trans fluid lines leading to the stock rad, did that not have any, or am I missing something??

Early Hydra-Matics were air cooled. I don't know what year they added a cooling system. My '62 has an in radiator cooler, so '61 probably did as well. I don't know if the Super Hydra-Matics were water cooled. We had the engine and trans out of a '60 and I *think* it had cooler lines.

Thanks for the info. Since there are no trans lines connected to the rad, I’m going with the air cooled option!!

1956 dual range " slant pan " Hydra Matics were the last of the air cooled HM's. (no park )
1956 dual coupling ( with park ) trans were water cooled, as were all later ones.
