Unhappy TH 350 fluid problem

So my transmission for my 71 cutlass is acting very strange. Its been dumping out the fluid i put in it the past 3 times all within a week. I was wondering if there was anything that would prevent this? It doesnt look like its leaking but its coming out somehow. Maybe there a filter or screen in the transmission that pushing the fluid out? Please I need some advice to fix my car.

Double check that your pan is tight and the gasket is in good condition. Have you service the transmission filter recently?

No its been sitting in my garage for about 2 years and i finally just got it up and running. How much would you say it would cost to get that fixed and/or is it easy to do yourself?

Check the grommet/O ring where the fill tube goes into the tranny. That could easily dry out over time. I had a similar situation a year ago. After I pulled the fill tube out and put a rubber O ring on the end, my problem was fixed.

Replacing the transmission filter and gasket is easy. It costs less than $30.

TH350 fluid problem

Hi . I had a similar problem with my 68 olds 98 with a TH400 ,but mine was leaking onto the floor of garage it was completly rebuilt when i did a nuts and bolts frame off restoration ,I would check it for the source of leak couldnt find it ,finialy replaced the modulator valve solved the problem ,only thing i can think is the vacum was sucking or pushing the fluid out .

Exactly same with mine. I cant fine the source of the leak it seems like its pushing it out of the fill tube for some reason. How would i fix that?

All you have to do is drop the transmission pan. The filter is either pressend into the body of the transmission, or it might be held on by a bolt.
