Help,need olds hydromatic identification so I can sell it

I purchased a motor and hydromatic rebuilt transmission, I dont need the transmission, but, before I put it up for sale here, I want to make sure the Id is right, the tag on side is 053-34616 any help appreciated,, Thank you

Thanks, that is a dual-range hydramatic. Probably from a 1953 Olds.
It is correct for 52 and 53 Oldsmobiles.
It will fit other Oldsmobiles as far back as 1949. But the shift quadrant will not have the correct pattern, (N DSLR )

Nice score on the engine!

Agreed, for 52-53 Oldsmobiles with long tail. Normally the "O" (not a zero) means 88 and super 88 models, but I always thought they were short tails. The long tails definitely are for 98's, but maybe were used on the 88 series too.

Thanks, It was bolted to my 56 324 engine, any idea what it might be worth, it is a rebuilt, I don't know how many miles,
I would like to post it for sale but have no idea what to list it at Thanks

Due to the fact that it's a rebuilt , it may be a combination of whatever parts that the rebuilder had lying around in order to fill an order.
88 main case , 98 tailhousing and shaft etc

If I'm not mistaken that trans will also fit Cadillac 52 and 53 ..

Due to the un-proven nature of the trans , Most buyers will consider it's value as a core. But even then it ought to be worth at least a couple of hundred bucks.
