posted a while back , pretty new to the forum.... i have a 65 starfire wth the turbo hydr.... car wont go into any gear...... stays in park.... i drove it not too long ago but it sat for a while so.... any help would be appreciated.... car runs fine and has original 425.... but not real sure what i should do... they have rebuiold kits for them but should i do it myself or take it to a transmiision shop... any help appreciated thanx and have a good day..

 

Your linkage hasn't fallen off has it?

 

um i havent checked really anything yet which sides the linkage passenger or driver..... its been a lil cold in colorado the last couple of days so i havent had time..... JUST WANNA DRIVE THE BEAST!!!! thanx 4 the response....

out trying to fire up the 65 starfire today and wondering if anyone knows where i can find a complete 65 hydramatic transmission diagram ,,,, my 65 starfire's transmission wont go into gear , the guy i bought it from says theres a valve that needs to be messed with (check valve) and hes wont ever try to come fix it.... think hes a little jealous i have the car now and its my baby but i dont have the money to take it to a trans shop for full rebuild just wondering if anyone has any info thanx Robert but also havent been able to lift the car to look at it for a lack of jackstands at the house lol will be able to soon thanx again....
