1947 hydromatic help

1947 hydramatic help

I have a 1947 oldsmobile with a hydramatic wont go in 4th gear adjusted linkage but still does not shift in 4th any help would be appreciated

Spelling is: Hydramatic, with an A. On the street, Hydro was used as the abbreviation.

nice. The flathead six originally in my '46 had low compression in cylinders 2 and 3, don't know if it is the head or gasket. For now it sits in the corner of the garage.
