67 mufflers

Does anyone make a really correct muffler that sounds like the original factory ones for 66 and 67 442s?

Gardner makes entire systems to factory specs. May just do mufflers. Expect to sell at least one nad, they're expensive.

Probably not correct but the Walker Quiet Flows 22100 probably would sound similar.

I remember the 66 & 67s when they were new. They had a kinda sound like a Chris Craft boat. Throaty sounding exhaust and very unique when combined with the chambered tailpipes. I’m sure it was a special muffler. I’m very acquainted with Eric Gardner. Their exhausts are absolutely the best. I will see if I can get mufflers from him

I think you can look up some sound bites.

Gardner makes an exact muffler and chambered tail pipes. I have their product on my '67 442. I attached a picture of their chambered tailpipe with stainless trim.

My mom is the original owner, so she is the only reference I have if it truly sounds correct. She agrees it sounds like she remembered and loves hearing it every time she comes over.
