69 Cutlass 350 trunk vacuum question

I have a 69 Cutlass with the original 350. It has an Edelbrock performer 4BBL intake on it.

I'm running the vacuum line for my trunk release. Can put a tee in the vacuum that runs the power brakes or do I need to put in a dedicated line?

If I need to run a dedicated line, I'm having trouble finding a vacuum port that will fit my Edelbrock intake. Where can I find one?

The trunk operates from manifold vacuum. Any port that ties directly to an intake runner is fine. The hose for the power brakes is also fine. Don't lose a lot of sleep over this. Also, you do need a vacuum ball with a check valve between the manifold port and the trunk to ensure this system works with the engine off.

Is there a check valve on a 65 Cutlass with vacuum trunk release, it seems like the trunk will open one time or while the car is running

Yeah, the vacuum canister is sized for one or two operations of the system without the engine running. As the rubber parts age, the system can leak down sooner than anticipated. Once that vacuum is depleted, the engine needs to be started again to re-evacute the system. If there were no check valve, the system wouldn't operate at all with the engine off.

I guess I forgot about the canister on the firewall. Now it makes sense
