Are these # 7 heads good heads?

Hey guys, I got some #7 noa orA heads the other day #409147. Came off a 72 Cutlass. They thought they had been rebuilt but I'm not sure. They are rusty from sitting out so probably have to be rebuilt again. The motor they have is a # 395558 from '76 or '77, also rusty. I have found another good 1971 350 short block that was in a driving car which got totaled. Was thinking of putting the '72 #7 on the '71 350. I was planning on getting Edelbrock heads but those apparently are not coming out anytime soon?

Those heads are as good as any early 350 head. They can use the W31 valves and porting for more power. The Edelbrock heads are supposed to out around Summer, I hope they arrive by Fall at the latest.

Well that will give you what Olds had from the factory. 1971 350s had 7 heads and 1972 350s had 7a heads. There’s not really much difference between the two, and no performance difference at all.
