Intake Manifold Question

Hi All,

I have an intake manifold with a serial number "390390" and then under it is "D1". Can anyone tell me what this intake is from and what it might be worth?

Thanks,

Mike

i have seen them on 66 98s with a 425 and also 67 442s with a 400. i am sure there are several other places that you can find one. i was told to ask $100 for mine if i decide to sell it but i do not want to sell it. i am not sure if he knew what the value was or if he just said a figure.

Hey GRT, I am going to hijack your thread here for a minute, since you are discussing Intake # 390390. I also have one. Cleaning up to sell, and I noticed the spot forward of the #5 runner. Can anyone tell me if this intake is broken or is this normal. It looks like its missing a piece, although it does not look to be in a critical place. Maybe GRT can compare his for me. Thanks,

Are you speaking of the little linkage piece on the side there that would normally hook to a carb if one was on there?

Here is mine for comparison, looks like yours may be broke, but whether its needed or not someone else will have to answer.

My 71 455 Looks like yours in that area too, but I am not sure about this 425 intake. It does not really look or appear to be broke, but it just looks like something should go there.

if you look at my picture, it almost looks as if it has lines so that tab can be broken off for something or another. Possibly what happened to the intake in question.

yeah, I see that. Makes me wonder it is meant to be broken out for an optional accesory or what the purpose is. I am sure whatever this is on my manifold, that it is not going to affect the performance or usage, but I am likely going to end up selling it. It its broke, I do not want to be selling someone a hunk of a scrap. If I needed to use it, I'd be using it. Maybe GRT will come thru and let me know what his 390390 looks like. BTW, Thanks for the response and comparison pic.

Hey Guys,

I'll take a look at mine tonight when I get home, but off the top of my head I don't believe mine has that "tab" missing. I'll get back to you.
