Funny, 2 of the members that are truly insightful and would reap deserving adulation don't want it, Fun71 and Koda.
Their modesty just validates why their advice should be considered more than most.
Exactly.
Maybe an option that states not ratable. As this would explain why some of the best members don't have a rating...
Keep in mind naysayers, instant validation for browsing casuals is a net positive. Once well versed in a forum it doesn't really matter. Joe P could have 1000 likes and a 5 star out of 5 rating and it wouldn't matter to many of us. We already know we can count on his word. However I will give an example of its usefulness. I am a casual observer on a Corvette forum. And I could tell who the very knowledgeable and respected members are via rating and correspondence with other members, fairly quickly. Who's information I could run with. Proof checking it only confirmed my initial impression. Because of that if I became a member. I would know better than randomly bumping heads with certain individuals. And incurring push back by fellow members for overly questioning someone who's forgotten more than most know.

I'm not sure a like button would really benefit anyone. Being reluctant to change and not being a member of facebook or anything else like that I am not familiar with what "like" really, really, means so I voted no. Call me old timer I guess.
I was 6 in 1952. Yes I liked Ike. Just think about the power he had in his lifetime. Five-star general (only in a time of war) and the Supreme Allied Commander and then a two-term president. I actually have a real "I Like Ile" button that I used to display with my 54.
