Pop Up Advertisements

I''m getting pop up advertisements from Jeff Bezos while viewing our forum. I thought that it might be because I may not have been logged in. So I logged in twice and Jeff Bezos pops up. Any advice. Thank you.

I receive no ads (never) on this site. In fact, I receive no ads from any sites whatsoever. I've been using uBlock Origin since it was founded (2015).

You'll need a popup blocker or learn to live with the ads.

This is what I see when I login. This never happened in my years of membership.
Jeff Bezos on Classic Oldsmobile.com.

What search engine are you using on your phone? I have never gotten those using Safari. I also never use the phone app, I click on the top left 3 bars select the view full site option or words to that effect.

I've been using Chrome. I've relied on the mobile site for years. Occasionally, I use my laptop. This is the first instance that I'm seeing pop up advertisements, while logged in, since I've been a member. And, for whatever reason, the pop ups are only from Jeff Bezos.

Try switching from mobile to the full site. That's what I do on my phone and I never get pop-ups on CO even though I don't run an ad-blocker.

BangScreech4-4-2,

Thank you! I switched from the mobile site and I see no pop ups. I like your pups in your signature.
I see Jeff Bezos's trucks all day, everyday, on the streets of Philly. I don't want to see Jeff Bezos on our site unless and until he buys our site next .lol. 😕

What is strange is the only pop up seen is from Jeff Bezos and they only began today.

Thanks! That's Reggie on the left and Dennis on the right.

Glad my suggestion worked for you.

Interestingly, I've seen the ads too. It just started today, but I haven't seen them at FTE yet. I use my Droid with Chrome almost all the time.

I guess InternetBrands decided to sell ad space on Classic Oldsmobile and not FTE. 🤔

I'm usually on Samsung browser on my phone. It has 2 ad blockers installed. Lately, they have become ineffective. If I go into Settings, turn them off, then on again, and they start blocking again.

What device are you using, phone, laptop, desktop, Ipad...? I've used adblock plus and ublock origin in the past but currently running edge and don't need them on my laptop.
