I did move the frame side uppers down, which is the same as raising the diff end. Not, trying to be argumentative, but I've thrown 3 "good" tricks at it with zero change. I'm missing something somewhere.

No arguments. Just sharing ideas and information. It's hard trying to figure it out sometimes. Just don't get hooked on one idea. Do you have video from the driver's side?

The guys I have talked to running a stick said that the bias tire is more forgiving and have a much wider hook window.
Just curious as to the type of clutch you are running?

No, I don't have any driver's side videos.

The clutch is a McLeod RST twin disc, RAM hydraulic throwout, and Wilwood m/c.

I did reset the shocks to 50/50 since I put the street tires back on. I'm just going to cruise it the rest of this year, and maybe whoop some stop light action.

So, something just popped in my head: why would it hop on launch but not in or coming out of the burnout? That makes me think it's more suspension related than tire....

Going out this weekend. Weather looks to be low 60's with a tail wind. Added an electric fuel pump , did a much needed and neglected tune up on my part , gonna try some bump stops in the front to shorten the travel a bit , gonna try them radials too vs the bias plus. Made a pump cam change which the engine really liked. Gonna remove the entire exhaust and just run extensions vs the cutouts ( it's heavy) Best e/t to date has been 11.85 @ 111 mph with 1.58 60ft Last weekend out best E/T was 11.97 weather was not the best but the car ran 12.0x passes allllll day pretty much on both days with the exception of the 2 11.97 passes . Looking to match or beat my current best E/T. After this parking the car next year taking a break from the cars.

In the burn out area it's not really great for traction between the water and all the rubber, it will spin. A hop occured with sudden application of power. I only saw your video on my phone. Did not seem to "hit". To me it looks like the tire initially has traction then just spins. I don't see the tire moving into (up) the wheel well (hop). One thing could be incorrect pinion angle. Pinion angle does have an effect on how hard the tire will hit. Depending on the suspension this could be more or less.

Good luck man! Cold air is a HUGE factor for my car...hopefully track prep will be good enough for the radials.
Are they M/T’s? What wheel size?
Finding the right PSI is key!
On my 15x10’s (325 50’s) They actually like 19.5 to 20.5...anything less and they cup.
So don’t be afraid to start on the high side, k?
Good luck!

Thanks Peter. I will start them at 20. I got S/S drag radials from M/T but got the Hoosiers too. I have never made a pass in cooler weather every fall we go to the track it ends up being warmer than I want. Going early to get some high 50's weather

The drag radials hooked !!!! 20 psi. Best pass was 11.90 @109 with a 1.61 60 ft. Probably could have gone faster . Something about that 20-30 mph head winds has me thinking lol. Still finding the sweet spot launching with the 4500 stall.

No wandering @ 20 psi. The bias ply's where also stable @ 12 psi.

As far as the 60 ft. Goes. It stayed the same. Best 60 for was with the bias ply's @ 1.58. .

This weekend the 60 ft was 1.60 range. Keep in mind we had that head wind between 20 to 35 mph. The car was all over the track after the 8th with the wind pushing me around.

I'm also still finding the sweet spot to launch with the 4500 stall. I really need to get up on the converter for a good 60 ft. A little off idle and it slowed way down. But I can't take too much suspension travel out either by loading the chassis up. I need to set up a camera in the car to really watch everything.

If the weather is good going back out next week too.

I'm going to try and get the 69 out again this weekend. I made some suspension changes and will try out the trans brake for the first time. Looking to get it into the 9.30s

Thanks Coppercutlass, VORTECPRO and Battenrunner. That 2-3 shift was at 7500 rpm . Believe it or not that is through the mufflers although they don't seem to do much muffling LOL.

Nice! That's a pretty good ET for that mph. You're making good use of the available hp.

Thanks guys. I had an 11.7x in mind when I first put this together. I wasn't expecting that time and certainly not back to back.
