72 Front Spindles Wanted

I'm looking to convert my drum brakes to disks in the front of my 72 cutlass convertable. Is anyone selling spindles near Oklahoma?

I have heard of people machining the upper mounting boss so that it is the same as the lower one on drum brake spindles so that you can mount disc brakes. I would be interested in hearing if anyone has anymore details on this type of conversion.

No you do not need to change them, HOWEVER you would need to drill and tap another hole in the drum units to accomodate the caliper bracket.

All else is available aftermarket to include the dust shield and bracket. HOWEVER, it would still end up being cheaper in the long run to find a set of used units.

Make sure you get the correct differential valve, and hose/frame clips for the conversion, as well as the correct power master cylinder if your car doesn't have one. (not needed but just in case)
