2Blu442, do you have a driveshaft for a TH-400 trans. Or the rear chrome modling for a 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass

2Cutup, I've got a stack of drivelines but I'm afraid I don't know the correct length of the one you need. I may have the trunk trim, I think this was a single strip with the name OLDSMOBILE engraved into it, correct? If so I'll look this weekend to see if I can find it.

2Cutup, sorry I mis-understood. Yes I have some wheelwell trim. Just to make sure, you need the full length trim like on the Cutlass S/442, correct?

Daisy, welcome to the site! I may have one but am not sure. The quickest way for you to find one would be to create a parts wanted thread so several of us can be digging through our boxes of spare parts. Then whomever comes up with one first, if their price sounds fair go ahead and buy from them. I haven't checked the newbie threads yet today, have you posted pictures of your car yet?

I've got several 350 cranks and some 330's too. But shipping across the country would be spendy. I'll try to get a shipping estimate, but if you can find one close by that would certainly save you money for the rest of your build.

2blue,

if your area is not rust-laden, you should point that out. Is your stuff like that car in your sig/avatar? Some folks may not be aware of how pretty things can stay in the upper NW USA. A photo of a not-rusty fender for example, or an exhaust manifold, may help.

Chris, thank you for your comment. Yes, the local stuff here hasn't seen salt and is often pretty clean. I've not posted any pictures here in a long time and should do that again.

Bill, sorry I'm in Oregon. You may have been thinking of Brian (507OLDS) as he's in PA

Daisy, the album works! I'll just need to go there and check out the pictures.

68 442

Hey John, do you have a black '68 442 glove box door in decent shape? mine has cracked nearly all the way around the lock mechanism and it is just a matter of time before it snaps completely.

Thanks,
Rich

Rich, I'm pretty sure I do. I'll try to dig around this weekend to see if I can come up with it. From what I remember its a two piece part. Do you need both the inner and outer layers or just one of them?

John, I only need the plastic part. If you need to separate the metal from the plastic I'm OK with that. It's also ok if you don't want to separate.

I'm in ZIP 80134 for shipping guestimate. You can PM me.

Thanks,
Rich

Sorry guys, life's been busy the last couple weeks.

Rich, I was sure I had a nice plastic piece that you could attach to your metal backing, but I've not found it yet. If you haven't made a parts wanted thread yet you might try that to see if another member can come up with one for you.

aussie, sorry I don't have the part you need. I'd encourage you to check with Henry (66400) to see if he can help you.

new to this, are you looking for the Supreme style trim that also runs down the side of the car, or just the plane jane around the wheelwell trim?

Rick, I know I've had the bumper fillers but am not sure if I still do. I should have the bumper but it weights around 100 pounds and may be expensive to ship very far. What's your location? Have you tried a parts wanted thread yet to see if someone nearby has an extra? Wheel house molding, can you give me more details on where this is located on the car?

lakeoffire, I've got an instrument panel with the ignition switch still attached. I'm thinking there's a trick to removing it without damaging the bezel. What's your location? Would you want to pay to ship the whole panel then take it apart yourself?

Well it looks like this weekend is getting away from me too!

lakeoffire I should be able to get some photos before dark. I'll also try to get a shipping estimate so I can provide you with total costs.

Brad, sorry I've not had time to look. If you haven't created a parts wanted thread yet I'd encourage you to give that a try.

Sea five, is the part you need attached to the hood or core support? I'm thinking the latch was all on the core support in 1966, but am not sure.

Probably not, but do you have a picture of a bad hose you could post? Have you tried the repop places yet to see if you can find a new reproduction one?

kips, I don't have any loose 5 or 6 heads, but have complete engines with them. I do have numbers 1, 2, 3 and I think 7's that are loose.

nitodog, sorry I don't have the parts your looking for. I know there's members who've had this vintage of parts cars in the past. If you've not created a parts wanted thread I'd encourage you to do so.

Lakeoffire, I got pictures of the instrument panel but haven't come up with a good box yet. Work will have me busy during the week, please send me a reminder on Friday or Saturday.

Well, I removed the AC controls and it will still cost $35.48 to ship USPS. So unless you need the rest of the panel or others parts I could include in the box this seems way to much for just the nut that holds the switch on. I believe the nut cannot be removed without taking the front off the ignition switch first. If you can verify that and help me figure out how to do that I may be able to remove it and ship just the part you need. Here's a picture of the panel before I removed the AC controls. John
