Hi John.

Been a while but I could use a few parts you might have.

Looking for a jack for my 68 442. Any condition. Also need the jack hold down piece that is removable with the wing nut. The bottom part of the bracket is on the car, so I just need the top peice. Let me know what you might have.

Thanks
Charlie

67.f-85 the 1966 and 67 engines and blocks are all "D" blocks. Is there another number your looking for, possibly casting date?

fiona72, I dug out three shifter handles over the weekend, two had cracks in them the third doesn't. I hadn't really looked close before, but this must be a weak spot where they easily crack. I didn't get pictures yet and this evening with the flash you really can't tell the condition of the chrome. If next weekend would work for you I'll make sure I get some good pictures.

rgorewit, I believe I have some door trim, but that's the only wide side trim I have left. I should have the 1/4 extension. You might contact jensenracing77 as he had a couple Supreme parts cars a while back.

Chepsky, I junked out a bunch of TH350's a while back but I'll see if I can come up with a good pan. My day job keeps me too busy during the week, so its the weekends when I have time to play with the car hobby. If you need something sooner try creating a parts wanted post.

Charlie, sorry I don't think I can help you with the jack.

hi john. thanks for the reply. I was wanting the casting #'s (above the water pump) and any info you have on the blocks. I'm needing a good base for a 10.25-1comp , 39 degree setup. im kinda short on free time so the more parts i can get the better, but if its easier for you to ship a bare block thats fine too. I'd like to see some cylinder and main pics of the bare block if you have the time. If you can ship the mostly complete one that would be great. do you know what if anything was wrong with it? or did it come out of a wreak?....sorry for all the questions but I've been burned by other online purchases.

Shifter

Hi Fiona
Here's pictures of two different shifters. The one still attached to the mounting plate has a crack in it and is missing the "T" at the top. Otherwise it's functional and I'm thinking the crack wouldn't affect it's function as there is much more metal surrounding this point. The other doesn't have a crack, has the "T", and nicer chrome. Please check out the photos and see what you think. I would like $25 for the one on the base plate (I'll remove the base before shipping unless you need it) and $50 for the one without. The one without is the nicest one I have. Shipping is not included in that price but shipping from Oregon won't be more than $11 as these will fit in a US Postal Flat Rate box. If it's cheaper to ship in a regular box then that's the price I would ask you pay, the actual shipping costs. I realize I didn't take very many of the one with a base. Let me know if you'd like to see additional views of it and I'll get them for you.

65 Cutlass Holiday coupe parts wanted

Hello, sounds like you have a pretty good collection . Would you have a shifter for an automatic console car. The ears on the top of mine are broken off so the handle cant be attached. I could also use a four terminal blower resistor for a/c car , a two speed wiper switch and a good set of hood hinges.I need some other parts too . I can email my phone number to you if you have any of these items. Thanks Frank

Nick, I've not found one of those carbs yet, but I know Steven does have an extra. I suggested he contact you to see if the two of you could work out something on his.

squirrelguy, I've got radiators from the late 1960's and early 70's but I believe they're different as they're side tanks and I suspect you need one with a top tank. If you've not created a parts wanted ad yet give that a try.

jag1886, I've lots of heads including 2,3,4,5,6,7,7a castings. What part of the country are you in? I'd be happy to sell you a set but if your far far away I could suggest some other guys who may have them and save you $$ shipping costs.

Frank, I do have a lot of parts but the shifters I have are all broken like yours. I don't have an AC parts car, and I don't have extra hood hinges. So from that list I may have the wiper switch but nothing else. Don't hesitate to send me a wish list and also create a parts wanted post. Also if you've not found the 1965 site that is another resource that may help you. It's: http://ultra-hi-comp.proboards.com/index.cgi?

darren, where are you located? I don't have the gears or posi carrier your looking for but I do have a complete 2.78 type O posi rear end I removed from a 1970 F85 about 15 years ago. I believe it would be the 588 casting not the 671 carrier. If you were interested are you anywhere close to Southern Oregon?

I was working in the garage this weekend and came across a set of wagon tail light housings but no lenses. These came off a 1971 Vista Cruiser but I believe they are the same as the ones used in 1970. Let me know if you'd like to see closeup pictures of any specific parts of them. There is wear down where the bumper rubbed against them, but the rest looks good. John

Rex, I have one I believe is from a 1970. It would need restored but if your interested I could get photos for you next weekend. I think I have the pedals but will have to dig them out. Work is crazy again, so it would likely be the weekend before I can look for parts.

dhartly72, I think I've got the AC brackets and I should have the rear window trim but doubt I have a good dome light. You might be better off buying a repop for the dome light. Most I've seen are brittle from age.

330noob, yes I do. Are you looking for a complete engine or parts? I've got two complete 1966's and parts from 1965 & 67's. Are you close enough to Southern Oregon to pick one up or would it need shipped?

nuttkaze, yes I have several complete 455's. I know I've got 1971 and 72's that are complete air cleaner to oil pan, then I've got other years that are missing carbs and brackets, exhaust manifolds may or may not be there but otherwise complete. I'd be willing to strap one down to a pallet, but shipping from Oregon to Louisiana would cost more than the purchase price of the motor. I'd encourage you to create a parts wanted thread if you haven't yet to see if you can find one closer. I know there's members literally from all over the world on Classicoldsmobile, so you may even find one within driving distance. If all else fails you could purchase whatever year motor you can find then add heads and bolt on's for the year car you have to give it the correct appearance if that's what you want. Heads and smaller parts aren't bad to ship. John

Hello Ely, I believe I have several of those items. I'll look next weekend and let you know what I come up with.

Michael, sorry but those quarter panels are from a 1969 Cutlass Post car that a previous owner made into a convertible with a hack saw! Are you needing just the bottoms of the quarter panels or the entire panels?

John

Hi Michael
The hardtop doesn't have a metal frame around the door glass, so when the door and back seat windows are rolled down it's one big open area. The Post cars do have a metal frame around them, and a "Post" between the door glass and back seat side glass. I believe the top of the convertible quarter panels are convertible only. I don't know about around the wheel wells and the lower parts. You may get stuck with reproduction quarter panels as good solid quarters from a convertible being parted out might be hard to come across.

If you've not created a parts wanted ad yet, I'd encourage you to give it a try and see what's out there. John

330noob, I'm not sure what your build plans are but things like cam and lifters I'd purchase new. A quick check on the wiki pages came up with this:

http://www.oldsmobilewiki.com/index....Considerations

I'm not a 330 expert but it looks like you'll have to purchase a cam designed for the 45 degree lifter angle. Not as common as the 39 degree lifter angle, but they are available. If you want used stock rockers I can help there. Unless your real clear on what your objectives are I'd encourage you to create a thread in the small block section asking for advice from guys who have built small blocks. A little time and research now may save money and headaches down the road. John

The 330 and 350 have a lot in common, so things like intake or headers will interchange. Also it would be easy to swap in a 350 motor or even a 455 if you wanted more power. What year/model of car do you have? John

How much for a running 455? I don't know what shipping would be, but I have a friend who goes to North Caifornia. Maybe I could get him to pick one up from you.

olds425, PM sent

330noob, you can rebuild the 330 or change over to a 350 pretty easily if you wanted to. In my part of the country there's not much demand for 350 cores, so they're easy to come by pretty cheap. I recently picked up two 1971 350's that I found on Craigslist for $50 each. I didn't need them but at that price I had to save them from being scrapped out. I may be wrong but thought you were in Northern California. If you have a reason to come up this way, or know somebody who could pick one up for you I'd pass one on for the same price I paid. John
