How Should I Finish My Paint Job

My 1972 Cutlass Supreme Convertible gets fresh paint job. Car is Viking Blue, white interior, White top. Need recommendations for stripping or trim to finish out paint job. Cannot decide best way to finish it. Leaning toward the white 442 side stripe. Stock hood, not sure hood stripe would look too good. Would not mind something unconvential as long as it would look good.

Yer kidding right? Although the wide paint stripe was for W30 and W31 cars, IMO they look great on any car. I put them on mine and it's neither a W30 or a W31. The look is awesome man, go for it. White stripes for sure. Leave the hood, roof and trunk all blue. You can do the reveal of the trunk lid with the fine 2 stripe accents but that's all you do without it getting carred away. I love Viking Blue - such a pretty color. Goes with white all day long

Allen is right on, white stripes and you can't go wrong with the W stripes. This by far the best color combo I have ever owned. Nice cool white interior for convertibles in the hot summer is the best, jut got to keep it clean.

Guess I am a little biased.

On the pics where the engine was on the stand, is it just the flash that made the color look turquoise? (specifically the pic showing the exhaust manifold)

That's indeed a car to be proud of. I saw the oil pressure sender on the front of the block, so I'm guessing the car also has the U21 rallye pac. Does it have that little seat belt pod on the dash too?

Again, my compliments on a stellar ride!

Hi Allan, Very nice car, silver and black is a real nice comb as well. The blue on the stand that looks turquoise was from Tamrazs not very good color match to factory so I decided to mix up some ppg 2083 single stage,I got this color code from GregV I believe I think this is the original gm code for the 455(ck out the last page of pictures on web shots thats the new color). My car is not a true W-30 just a 442 convert. My rallye pac is not original as well so no dash warning light.

Just FYI Not sure if your familiar with Crystal beach ON but that is were most of the pictures were taken we live there 6 months out of the year, My Canadian neighbors have been awesome and have become some of our best friends.

Thanks Allan
