Very cool. I have some pics of my (then 7 or 8 year old) son doing a brake job on my wifes old 2000 Monte Carlo.. good times. I then any time a child is interested in what you are doing, it time to hand them some tools.

I hope you didn't get in her way. Professionals hate when the customers are distracting them.

That is great stuff. Your daughter is a doll.

I had one of those moments yesterday. I had a flat on my Ford Flex parked in front of the house. I took the tire off and carried it to Firestone and had it fixed. My 7 year old grandson (he and his brother and their Mom live with us) went with me as he does most places. When I go to put the tire back on and get ready to tighten the lug nuts with the for way, he say "Popeye, can I spin that". I stop and think, what a moment. And later I think what an idiot his dad is for abandoning them. I wish I had a picture.

It was pretty funny she did good for a 6yo. She said dad what can I do to help but don't tell me to sweep the floor. Thats what you always want me to do. She was exited to get you run the lug nuts on by hand but when I handed her the impact you would have thought I gave her a pony. I turned the air down so it would not vibrate her teeth but she did real good. I was proud.

I thought it was safer without the 4way. I could see her bonking herself in the head with it as it spins. You can already see whats left of her black eye from running in to moms tailgate.

Realoldsman,I agree,I have 4 kids of my own and 2 stepdaughters that call me dad that I also walked both of them down the aisle.I'll never understand what can make a man abandon his kids. And Gearheads, those pictures are precious.About 20 years from now you will tear up looking at them. Those moments go all to quick.

At least she will know what to do when she gets a flat with the car she will be driving in the near future! None of that pick-up-the-cell-and-call-dad...
