73 olds omega a/c delete but want to retain heat

Hey guys, i got myself into this omega project about 2 weeks ago, i removed the ac condenser today and don't plan on re installing it, that being said i want to remove the massive a/c box but retain heat as i live in Maine and will need the heat for defrost etc. Ive seen firewall patch kits but all cover the heater removal as well. What would i need to do to retain the heat? I would imagine a little custom fab on the patch plate to allow heater hoses into the cabin? Just want to double check before removing the box and shooting myself in the foot, or if i should just deal with the box.

AC delete box

"American Graffiti" was the first, with the AC delete boxes. Others have followed.

Keep in mind that using that delete box still retains the vacuum-operated controls under the dash. This means that you need to keep the A/C control head and the vacuum connection to the engine, along with the vacuum ball on the firewall.
