Info on removing A/C from 72 cutlass...
well since I had to dig into car anyways, I figured I would take advantage and take the a/c out. I read a thread on it earlier but I am unable to find it now. Can I use the set up from a none a/c car for heater blower and fab. some sheet metal to cover the hole that I would imagine would remain after switch?

Hey Dave,
I got mine at
http://www.a/cdelete.com
pretty simple to install and looks like it was ment to be there. The best is you can also put it back to stock if you would like.

on a side note, anyone have an idea on what the value of a A/C unit would be? I would like to sell it as I dont like to keep stuff I wont be using, so would like to have an idea on what fair. As far as condition, not really sure was not hooked up when I purchased car.

has anyone done a delete without buying a $150 delete kit? I like the look of the one you used, but to be honest I hate to spend that kind of cash just to take out the a/c. I dont mind doing some custom fab to cover the hole but would using a non a/c box work if I made my own box to cover the hole? And I dont need to replace anything other than the box right? The fan for heater will work?
thanks again
thanks again

At first I got a heater box from a non A/C Omega but it was a different shape and it would not line up correctly. It was not big enough to cover the fan area and vent area where the heater core is. I suppose I could have taken the dash apart and installed the non A/C box from both sides(correctly) but for $150 this was easier. Also on my car the heater core area protrudes into the engine bay so a flat peice would not cover it.
