1948 Olds "little Brother" build

As most of you know I picked up my new toy in Oklahoma two weeks ago and am towing it home to Bothell, WA. Along the way I am stopping to buy the remaining parts I need. I stopped in Carlsbad, CA at Classic Motor Sports Group and picked up my new 5 -speed transmission, scattersheild bell housing, clutch and pressure plate, a and hydraulic thow out unit. I went for the 600 hp setup. Couldn't help myself they gave me a great deal. Now instead on building a mild 455 I am going to build a wild 455. Nitrous is in my future. I will be stopping in Medford, Oregon to get my rebuild able 69 toro engine. I am soooooooooooooooooo happy

Now all you need for "Little Brother" is a 4.88 spool!

I plan on using this as a towable car behind my motor home when I travel around. Ought to grab a few stares and make for interesting conversation. I need to learn more about nitrous systems and what one works best at not to great a cost. I still want to build this for a resonable cost

Stopped in Medford, Oregon today and met (2blu442) John, Boy does he have a collection of Oldsmobile and Oldsmobile parts from the 65 thru mid 70's. He sold me a good complete 1970 Toro engine with bid valve E heads The guy he bought it from started it and John said it didn't smoke and sounded good. The crank has already been drilled for a pilot bushing. I will take it apart and check it out when I get home. John also threw in a flywheel from a boat so it has never been used all for $450.00. Great deal

Thanks John!

For the rest of you John has lots of parts for Toro's Cutless, 442, lots of engine parts to including C heads, notched valve covers, Contact him and tell him what you need. He will give you a good deal

Pat, are you going to buy that? There are a lot of parts there and looks like they have already done the frame swap. Too bad there aren't more pictures. You don't have bumpers yet do you? Hmmmmm.

I have bumpers, but I am going to call on this and see if I can cut a deal. Got to figure out where I can put it is the problem. Only have a two car garage and the 57 takes up one space and the 48 will take up the other and my cad and the wifes car take up the carport. maybe the guy next door would let me store it at his empty lot
