Is this an American made automobile model? What year(s) were they made and who made them?

Which color represents what you're supposedly referring to? YELLOW, GREEN or PURPLE?

Good luck. I don't even show it in any info that I could find. You may be able to pull it, find a radiator guy to plug the hole. I have a good dist. for an 86 2.8 if you need one.

You may have better luck getting answers on a Chevy oriented site vice an Oldsmobile specific site...

x2 on asking a radiator shop if they can fix the coolant pipe. If you can't find a shop willing to repair the part you can use this search engine to find another Chevy Corsica in the salvage yard near you.

I might make a guess by it's shape and location that it is supposed to act as a valve either to allow coolant to flow through or not. Maybe it is called a thermostat. My wife's Dodge engine had two of them, they shared the same plastic housing and controlled two different circuits in the engine. Maybe the same for yours.

That is a coolant bypass pipe. Long discontinued from GM. Part # was 10100056.
