What alt and ac brackets did you use ? I skimmed the post but could find what they were, most of the after market one look odd, this set up almost looked like the original olds set up
thanks

I used Holley High mount for truck spacing. I have since changed the AC setup to low mount.

Agree with this. i am in the process of swapping to an LS1/T56 and wound up using BHP motor/tranny mounts with Holley 302-1 pan. Stating that i did notice that the BHP mounts sat the engine high and there could be room for the F-Body pan. i do like the clearance for the headers though. You would need to measure and maybe consult BHP.

You mean BRP mounts? Most of these mounts with non adjustable position are made around a specific pan, assuming you don't move the position on the frame.

Haven't posted any updates in a while. Installed LS3 heads and a BTR cam on the car this summer, runs great, I also decided to start my LSA conversion. I needed new inner fenders also so I decided to go with the red ones. Car should be ready to fire up again mid January at the latest.

It's pretty mellow right now, so it will probably just have that little SC whine

Haven't been updating this in a while. Now that my hoses are routed and everything else is in place, its time to clean up my wiring. Need to mount the ECU again a loom my fan controller wires. Waiting for more braided wire loom and it should be quick. I also tapped my lid and ran hose for boost reference needed by the fuel pressure regulator.

Its been a LOOOOOOONG time since I posted anything here, so I will update with the condensed version: the car was tuned, and put on the road. I ended up wrapping the car in satin white for summer 2019....

I took the car off the road in fall 2019. The person i wanted to paint said he really didn't have the capacity to do my paint and body, but did agree to do my quarters. Removed the wrap and had the quarters replaced.

In Jan 2021, I found another shop that was able to get me in for body and paint... Dropped her off and waited for the final results...

Thanks....Yeah, I actually took it off the road to do the paint. It has very faint ghost stripes on the hood, but nothing other than that...

That thing looks amazing. Some blue lines from diamond back would really finish it off. Especially with the calipers

I've seen the DB stuff before. I think they would look good with a different wheel.

So the car sat on the back burner for most of this year. The shop I wanted to do the wiring had a spot open up where they could get me in so I jumped at the opportunity. Should be finished in a couple weeks then off to interior.

Wiring was done for a while and I'm very happy with the results. The did a complete universal body harness using American Auto Wire HWY 22 kit. The shop doing the work preferred the universal harness over the Classic Update. Before taking it in I had already installed the power windows, remote door lock actuators and moved the battery to the trunk. Also included was:

Aux Fuse/relay panel in engine bay for hx pump and fans
Aux fuse panel under the console for USB port power
remote trunk release wiring
wiring of electronic parking brake actuator control box

ground bar behind dash

Dakota Digital

Vintage Air

main power

Trunk mounted battery with cutoff

I also had them clean up the wiring in the engine bay and make me a custom air intake tube. Just waiting to go to interior shop now...

Mounted ECU to fender

Long time, no post... Car is on the final stages. My interior shop a reduction in workers, so it was taking them longer to finish some projects. Dropped the car a few months ago, but now work is starting to begin. Rear seats will be buckets so they will be custom fitted in the car. I'm going with German weave carpet from Relicate. Dash has been repaired and installed along with the headliner, rear panels, deck and A pillars have been installed.

Dash Cleaned up and installed

Foam installed getting ready for carpet

Rear deck

Sub and amp mounted in trunk
