I think what most of the folks in the off-road crowd would do is remove the Bravada body and put it on a Chevy Blazer frame. Apparently, there are plenty of 4wd aftermarket parts for the Blazer and practically nothing for the Bravada. Not to say you couldn't take the Bravada off-road as is. I suggest you get hooked up with a local off-road club and do some mudding before you start throwing money and parts at your Bravada.

The Bravada and Blazer use the same frame. Swapping would be a big waste of time. The difference is in the transfer case. Olds used an AWD transfer case with an actively controlled center differential. Swap that for a manual transfer case from a Chebby.

if my memory serves me right the 94 and older bravada is always in 4wd,transfer case and front differential, there weren't any controls until 95 ,no low range either.as for abs you can just unplug the abs motor under the hood, driver's side.

Without controls, the center differential is not locking. This is like an open (non posi) rear axle. I suspect the OP wants a locked center diff for mudding. The Bravada transfer case won't do that, which is why I said swap the transfer case.

The real Chevy Blazer, the K5. Not that late model make believe stuff.

JMO, without changing the power train to something a bit more stout and adding more power, I see no reason to pursue making the Bravada a serious off road warrior.

Go play, just be prepared for broken parts and an occasional tow if you really push it.
