77 442 new purchsae 1 owner
hi new to site, just purchased this orig owner 77 442 hopefully didn't pay too much at 7k as not up to date on 77 values,i know my buddy already want to trade me a 89 Dakota Shelby edition for it.this olds was sold new here in az and stayed here, just found the build sheet and the dealer check sheet, all numbers match car with 1 older repaint.
Welcome to the site. That's a nice car.
Am I interpreting this correctly and you are in Arizona? If so, where are you located? If you're close to Phoenix you should come to the Pavilions in Scottsdale at 101 and Pima this Saturday afternoon (5pm) for the monthly Olds Club gathering. We're always happy to see a new Olds and its driver.

thanks for the replies,it has the 403 in it.i work on saturdays so makes it hard to get to pavilions.not really sure what im going to do with it yet just thought it was too good of a deal to pass up.pretty much the same as my 73 gto i had except the gto had the fact 455 and prob would never bring the money it did.for now will just fix the little stuff it needs, thanks great site!!!
Welcome to CO, Goatman73! Nice score....a '77 with the 403 and build sheet is a nice one to have.
Take your time with the car and fix the little stuff as time allows....be patient and don't rush. If you remove or replace anything, try not to throw the part(s) away. Some parts for this car are '77 specific and can be a challenge when trying to locate replacements from another car. Additionally, some of the interior pieces are hard to locate too. Especially the rear quarter window trim pieces.
With your interior being white, I'd be surprised if the quarter window trim isn't brittle in some way.
All things said, keep us posted on your progress and If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask, that's what we're here for.
Oh! Let your buddy keep his Dakota. lol

I'd say worth more than the price you paid as it is one of just 350 1977 442s with a 403 engine that GM built. Rear bumper fillers and get Just dashes to fix the dash (you will never find a nice 77 dash/one year only) and a detail and that car looks great.
Wow, never knew there were only 350 442's built with the 403 that year. What is different between the '77 dash and the prior colonnade model dashes?
