'67 cutlass covnertible adding fluid
Hi, I'm into year two of my cutlass adventure...
The top is sluggish and I'm hoping I can add some fluid to fix the issue myself. Any suggestions?
I'm thinking I can add auto/trans fluid.
From what I've read, I should lower the top and add auto/trans fluid by unscrewing the small bolt on the right side of the pump assembly in the trunk.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated, thanks...

Correct.
Top in down, all the way down, position. Fill to level full of fill hole. Some have a threaded plug some have a rubber plug.
If you try to overfill you can expect something to blow.
I sort of thought the rubber fill plug was designed to be a place to blow out the overfill fluid so the lines nor cylinders took the hit. Makes a big mess to clean up in the trunk. Oh yeah, I did it, added fluid with top up before I learned better.
