Oil plug on a 65 Starfire

Oil plug on a 65 Starfire

My Starfire has a star like plug on it much like a torx head anyone else seen this before 425 motor

Dan, Welcome to the site! Oldsmobile used these for several years ending in 1965. They made a special tool to remove them, but a 1/2" ratchet will also work.

He means the square end of the ratchet or a socket extension will fit into the star and you can remove and install the plug with no issues.
