I have the VFN 4" cowl hood on my '67. Not a perfect fit even with sanding/adjusting, but the finish and quality were very good for an aftermarket glass piece. Notice I even got it to accept the front chrome, again with some working of the edge. I love the factory louvered hood, but need the clearance for the Victor intake.

looks great! great color scheme too! yeah its not the best fitting hood out of the box, but decent.

i need to work the hinge mounts a bit, the hood is higher than the fenders, midway between hinges and bumper.

i will be drilling the front lip to accept the front chrome lip as well, once i get a decent chrome piece to mount on..

Yeah because that means you either have to start another one or you don't have anything to spend your time with. Once you get this far in a project, its the passion of putting it together and watching it transform that excites you. When that's over you get to enjoy it but that excitement of doing it goes away somehow.
I completely understand. I personally like taking them apart to bare metal and fixing the bad places and forming them back to new, but when it comes to putting them back together and getting ready to run I get somewhat depressed. I like doing the work that no one really sees or understands.

Awesome project though. I like it.
