was heading towards some semblance of a car, when outta no where ...wham! wrong parts stopped me dead.
i was excited at the concept of a body with a motor & transmission...
proof that a 72 350 flywheel doesnt fit on a 66 330 crank.

i'm waiting on my new (to me) used part from 2blu442..

Nice looking helper, to bad her fingers got in the way of the camera. Isn't it great to have the engine and tranny setting in place. Now to put the rest of the car back together. Good luck

$549 ceramic coated and right from Mondello California.
worth the money if you ask me. the fit is tight if you have a large starter, and the engine mount pads required shimming, but otherwise great headers!

thanks man!! i'm working on it 3 or 4 nights a week trying to get ahead.
i converted a storage unit into a garage, with lighting and all. no compressed air though

im waiting for the prop shaft to get fabricated..and then i can fill up the transmission.

So are those BBO headers? They look like they hang down pretty low, thats why i ask.
I had heard they would fit on a SBO, but would be low... so if these are, i'll be real curious to see how they are after you get the rest of the front sheetmetal installed.
looking real good!

Thanks for the encouraging words, folks. Lord (as well as my angelic girlfriend) knows i have been clocking the hours to have this ready for paint before winter.

the headers appear to hang low from the images, but they dont. the front tires are small, giving that appearance.
the exhaust is well placed (far enough from the body, chassis & drivetrain) to prevent heat damage.
the headers are ceramic coated, and are fit for the 1966 330 SBO Cutlass. i think i got them from Mondello for around $600.

updates for all y'all..
including underside hood pics.
i'm suspicious of the flimsy hood though. i will be calling VFN to find out why there is no center support. FYI i am using the recommended low tension springs as well.

you can see how the hood "bows" in the centre area- im suspecting the hinges need to be adjusted to lower the leading edges (and increase the clamp down action)
