1965 442 build

Hello, I am about 3 years into a 65 442 build and thought I would show my progress and start asking questions. This is a frame off mild custom build that has gave many many issues. I have the body painted and I am getting ready to transfer it to a mostly finished frame and chassis. Chassis has UMI control arms, dropped pocket lowers, 30 over 455, Rocket Racing Wheels, new gas tank, new brake lines and gas lines, posi rear end. I will post more pictures in the future.

My first question is ....does the motor angle in the picture below look normal? Some of my friends (not Olds guys ) think the backward slope looks wrong. Not only does the motor tip back toward the firewall but it also seems to sit off center toward the passenger side. We are going to take measurements and swap motor mounts this weekend to see if we can fix it. I have big block mounts, small block mounts and Modello solid mounts to play with.

Here is some picture of the finished body that will be swapped over in the coming weeks. I have red and black slightly custom interior (mixture of 64 and 65) already finished as well.

Looks good.

what engine mounts do you have in it currently?

keep in mind the early year Oldsmobile, used the same engine mount for small block and big block.
you should be using the small block engine mounts with either olds engine in the 65 set up.
